Let It Snow! Challenge - New Years Eve Party Gras!!

The countdown to 2013 has begin, and tonight, my friends and I will be celebrating with "New Years Eve Party Gras; a Mardi Gras Themed NYE". Everyone is encouraged to wear Mardi Gras colors, beads, masks, glitter, etc. It should be a really fun time.

I wanted to do something fun for NYE that matched the theme of the party, so we have my NYE/Mardi Gras nails! I have entered these into Christina from Adventures In Polishland NYE nail contest, so make sure to check out her Facebook page to "like" my nails!

Polishes Used:
-Julep - Morgan
-Maybelline - Bold Gold

I really love these nails; they are fun party nails that will be great for the NYE Party Gras event tonight. If you love them too, please vote for me in the NYE Contest, I submitted the first picture for my entry.

Happy New Year!

P.S. Make sure to check out the other ladies in the Let It Snow! Challenge and their mani's!

Liquid Lacquer - Little Bow Tied Men & Lounging Lily

Continuing on with my Liquid Lacquer kick, today I have Little Bow Tied Men, a special polish that Melissa showed some swatches of but never ended up making to sell. As soon as I saw the sneak peek swatches, I knew that I needed it as its Black and Yellow! Pretty much anything that I can wear for Steelers, Pirates, or Pens season (if we ever have hockey again) I am going to snatch right up, so Melissa was sweet enough to make a bottle for me.

Here we go!

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-OPI - Alpine Snow
-Liquid Lacquer - Little Bow Tied Men
-Gelous
-OTD

This is a super pretty sheer polish with yellow and black glitters and a super slight pink shimmer to it. It's really pretty and I think this looks great over the white base that I selected.

Next up, we have Lounging Lily. It is similar to RBL Aqua Lily, and its gorgeous, don't you think? I am going to show you two rounds of photos, without TC and with TC. Own it's own it has a really pretty "soft" finish, so here we go!

This is two coats of Lounging Lily and it is just such a pretty polish. I love the pink shimmer to it, and the pictures don't do it justice. This was a HUGE seller during Melissa's last restock and I think you can see why.

Are you loving all of the Liquid Lacquer polishes that I am showing? I have a special treat coming up soon so make sure to stay tuned.

Liquid Lacquer - Kablam & Blue Pistachio

Today I have 2 polishes to show you from Liquid Lacquer. I don't think that these are from the same collection, but they look like cousins. Lol.

First, we have Kablam:

Polishes Used:
-Liquid Lacquer - Kablam
-Gelous
-OTD

I have on two coats of Kablam in these photos, the application was flawless and two coats is all it took to reach full opacity. It's very pretty with the orange base and blue glitters.

Next we have Blue Pistachio:

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-Liquid Lacquer - Blue Pistachio
-Gelous
-OTD

This polish is AMAZING! I have on 3 coats in the photos and I can safely say that this shade would look good on every single skin tone out there :) The application was flawless with this shade as well and 3 coats gives full opacity.

Are you following the Liquid Lacquer Facebook page for re-stock updates yet? Make sure you do because some of these shades go REALLY fast, Blue Pistachio for instance.

Liquid Lacquer - First Born Unicorn

Today I have another lovely polish from the lovely Melissa of Liquid Lacquers; First Born Unicorn.

This is a lovely shimmery polish, I wanted to show this polish in multiple ways, so I am showing you with both light and dark undies. Here we go!

Polishes Used:
-Essie - Marshmallow
-Liquid Lacquer - First Born Unicorn
-Gelous
-OTD

This is sooooo lovely! It's gentle and angelic, and very FBU. Only sad part is that I didn't wait long enough to apply the gelous and sort of smudged my middle finger. Sad face.

Polishes Used:
-Essie - Bobbing for Baubles
-Liquid Lacquer - First Born Unicorn
-OTD

It's crazy how this polish looks completely different over a dark navy base, which is what Bobbing for Baubles is. I have on 2 coats of FBU in both the "light" and "dark" pictures.

Which version do you like better? I like the light one, but both or gorgeous!

Make sure to follow Liquid Lacquer on Facebook to stay up to date with re-stocks and giveaways!
