Simple Gray Studded Look

Today I have a super simple look to share with you. I don't usually wear bold or dramatic looks to work, but sometimes it's nice to spruce things up by wearing something a little more than a plain color.

Products Used:
-KBShimmer - How You Dune?
-Born Pretty Store studs

I wore this for a couple of days this week before taking it off, but it felt perfect. The studs were simple, yet sort of cute edgy (I mean, they are studs so how can they not be sort of edgy) and I love neutral grays like this.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Zoya Naturel Satins - Swatches & Review

*Press Sample*

Happy Wednesday! Today I'm sharing with you the 6 shades from the Zoya Naturel Satins Collection.

The colors in this collection are transitional shades from Winter to Spring and are just perfect for this time of the year. Zoya describes these as, "a collection of six new, naturel nail polish colors in an ultra-wearable, low-sheen, chic satin finish. A hybrid between matte and glossy polishes, the new Zoya Satin formula provides opaque coverage and is longer lasting than traditional matte shades. The flawlessly smooth finish hides imperfections and creates a luxurious, satin finish nail look."

Rowan (ZP779): Creamy suede taupe, exclusive Zoya Satin finish

Ana (ZP783): Light toasted almond, exclusive Zoya Satin finish

Sage (ZP781): Mossy sage green, exclusive Zoya Satin finish

Brittany (ZP780): Rose mauve cream, exclusive Zoya Satin finish

Tove (ZP778): Misty slate grey, exclusive Zoya Satin finish

Leah (ZP782): Lavender tinged taupe, exclusive Zoya Satin finish

All of the above swatches are shown with 2 coats of color, without base or topcoat. I really like the colors in the collection as I mentioned above, but I don't really love the finish. It is just a personal preference though, to me it seems like some mix between wet and dry.
Also, I generally wasn't a fan of the formula; it has a thin/thick thing that I find with most of my Zoya polishes (thin at first and then they get thick by the time I am doing my second coat).

These shades are currently available at Zoya.com for $9.00.

Firmoo Glasses Review

*Press Sample / Affiliate Link*

Today's post is a little different than normal; it's not a nail post!

I was contacted by Firmoo.com to review a pair of glasses from their website. I don't wear contacts but need vision help when it comes to distance (seeing presentations at work, driving, baseball games, etc) and I love getting fun and funky pairs of glasses to add to my daily looks.

Here are the glasses that I picked to try.

I went pink/red tortoise shell and bold with these ones. Not only do you get the glasses but you also get a glasses case, cleaning cloth and a tiny screwdriver, which is nice. I go through glasses cleaning clothes like no other for some reason.

The firmoo.com site is really easy to use and has a good selection of frames to choose from. A really nice feature is that you can upload a picture of yourself and virtually try on the glasses before you buy them. Also, the glasses are very reasonably priced (compared to if you went to a vision store or eye doctor at the mall for example), they allow you to pick prescription or just plain lenses and even have sunnies too!

Firmoo.com also offers a First Pair Free program! Use the code: FREEFIRMOO at checkout!

And of course, I will share a picture of me in my new Firmoo.com glasses at the office.

The Digit-al Dozen Does: Patterns on Patterns - Look 5

Whoohoo; It's Friday! For my final Patterns on Patterns look I decided to do something pink and pink and white since tomorrow is Valentine's Day.

Polishes Used:
-NOPI - Be AMA-zing!
-Konad - Pink
-Konad - White
-Stamping Plate - Cheeky Jumbo Plate 8

This is another one of those looks that I wish I would have taken a picture of the first pattern alone before adding the second stamp because you can hardly see the pink on pink stamp. In case you can't tell, I used the same stamping image on the bottom and the top, but just rotated it so the flowery pattern was on different parts of the nail in the different colors.

I really enjoyed this theme, although I know some of the other ladies weren't loving it. Be sure to check out how everyone else wrapped up this Pattern on Pattern week!

The Digit-al Dozen Does: Patterns on Patterns - Look 4

For my fourth look I went a little "wild" with a Zebra and floral print. Let's get started:

Polishes Used:
-Zoya - Sailor
-China Glaze - Too Yacht to Handle
-China Glaze - Wait n' Sea
-Konad - White

The bottom pattern on this look is Zebra and the top is studded floral (obviously). I really liked the color scheme with this; it wasn't traditional zebra or traditional floral and it sort of feels slightly nautical too, lol.

Be sure to check out what the other lovely ladies had in store today:

The Digit-al Dozen Does: Patterns on Patterns - Look 3

Since this week is Valentine's Day week, I decided to do a Valentine's themed look.

Polished Used:
-KBShimmer - Eyes White Open
-OPI - I Think in Pink
-Konad - Red
-Plate - Bundle Monster - BM-620

For this look, my bottom pattern was pink dots and the top was the red hearts. I thought that this was a sweet and adorable look, and felt super festive wearing it!

Let's see if any of the other ladies decided to rock a Valentine's themed Pattern on Pattern look:

The Digit-al Dozen Does: Patterns on Patterns - Look 2

For my second Pattern on Pattern look, I decided to do something new to me, inspired by fellow DD gal, Emily from The Lacquerologist.

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Skull & Glossbones
-China Glaze - Dune Our Thing
-China Glaze - Sea's The Day
-China Glaze - Feel The Breeze

The bottom pattern on this look is a negative space striped pattern, and the flowers on top have sort of a grungy, graffiti sort of vibe. This isn't my favorite look of the week, but I don't really hate it either, lol.

Let's see what the other ladies created for today's Pattern on Pattern look:

The Digit-al Dozen Does: Patterns on Patterns - Look 1

February's theme for the Digit-al Dozen is Patterns on Patterns. I like the idea of this theme because there are so many different patterns out there to put together.

Here is my first look:

Polishes Used:
-Barielle - First Class Ticket
-Precision Lacquer - Blissful Abyss
-Morgan Taylor - Varsity Jacket Blues
-Konad - White
-Plate - Born Pretty Store QA83

The bottom pattern of this look is a blue dry brush pattern (although it's super hard to tell in the pictures - I should have taken a "before" picture); and the top floral pattern is the top one (obviously; lol) I really love how this one turned out and would wear it again.

Let's check out what the other ladies did below:

Zoya Delight for Spring 2015

*Press Sample*

I am so excited about Spring Collections being out; now if only the weather felt a little bit more like springtime... but I digress.

The Zoya Delight Collection consists of 6 springy shades, 3 creams and 3 shimmers, all perfect for the Springtime season. Let's get started.

Rayne (ZP772): Dewy, spring blue with an energizing turquoise metallic flash.

Eden (ZP777): Classic spring flower pink in a glossy cream finish.

Daisy (ZP775): Refreshing 'lemon merengue' yellow with a turquoise metallic flash.

Tiana (ZP774): Palette-cleaning 'pistachio gelato' green in a glossy cream finish.

Leslie (ZP776): Soft spring lavender with a turquoise metallic finish.

Lillian (ZP773): Faded aquamarine with a glossy cream finish.

All photos above are shown with 2 coats of color and topcoat. All of the colors had a pretty consistent formula; a little streaky on the first coat and then a little thick on the second coat (if that makes sense) but basically what I expect from the Zoya polishes.

The Zoya Delight collection is currently available at Zoya.com.

Will you be picking up any of these shades for spring?
