Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer - PDPS 1.0 Prototype Polish

Thank Goodness It's Friday!! This week I went up to my friend Brigitte's house and she let me borrow a bunch of pretty polishes, and this one of a kind prototype shade from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer made it to box of polishes!

How gorgeous is this polish?! I am wearing two coats of PDPS1.0 topped with Out The Door. This is a dark grayish brownish with pink shimmer and holo polish (haha - I know I know - great description Stephanie)

This is the first BEGL polish that I have tried and will be trying some more in the future for sure! Thanks so much Brigitte for letting me borrow this!!

OPI - I Knead Sourdough

Today I am back in action with a new to me polish, OPI - I Knead Sourdough, from the San Francisco collection.

I am seriously in love with this polish so hard! OPI has quickly become one of my favorite mainstream brands do to the flawless application of most of their shades, and this one does not disappoint. This is going to be joining my regular lineup and polishes that I'll be wearing to work. If you have been following my NCC theme this month, you know I'm loving nudes and reds and this fits into that category too ;)

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Favorite Color Month - Week 2

I have been so hit or miss with the Nail Challenge Collaborative posts this month. I know I need to get back on a schedule so I will definitely try to do that in December. Also, wanted to say an extra little Thank You to Katee of A Girl and Her Polish who organizes everything for the NCC challenges/facebook group/inlinkz etc.

As I mentioned last week, the colors I chose for the theme is nude and red.

I originally intended to go for sort of a 1920's look with the halfmoons at the bottom in nude and the red tops. However, I used my French tip guides so they sort of look like just half nude half red, lol. So I decided to switch it up a bit and add the gold glequins just to make it a really fun and simple look.

Nail Art For Nubs Link-Up

I know it's only been 4 weeks but I am glad that I'm sticking with the Nail Art for Nubs Link-up. I also know we were able to generate some interest from other short nailed ladies so you may be seeing even more manis in the link-ups soon!

Polishes Used:
-Kiss Marbleizing Polish & Pen Kit
-Out The Door

For this week's look I used another Kiss Nail Art Set; this time, the Marbleizing Polish & Pen Kit (you can check it out here), but you don't need the kit to create this look. All you need is 3 or 4 polishes of similar colors, the colors I used were all purple but adding pink or white or blue in this look would have looked really pretty as well. All you need to do it paint a base color, and while it's still wet add dabs of polish in the other colors and then use a toothpick or pin to swirl them together. I think I was pushing down too hard with the pen though because I sort of scrapped the bottom color off at points; however, once I added the top coat is easily smoothed everything out!

Kiss - Gradation Polishes

 

I was recently selected to review the Influenster #RoseVoxBox and one of the goodies in the box was the Kiss Gradation Polishes set.

The idea behind the kit is super simple, 3 polishes, step by step instructions on how to create an awesome glittery gradient look.

The set that I received was the Film Noir color which came with a silver base color, a black/gray jelly second color and a black/silver glitter for the third color. Overall, I am pretty impressed with these sets. Since the polishes are somewhat jelly they lend themselves to gradients and are definitely a lot easier than doing a sponging gradient with cream polishes. I would recommend these kits to fellow polish lovers of all skill levels :)
