The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents: Inspired by Fashion - Look 4

Happy Monday Lovelies! Today I am sharing with you my fourth and final look for the March Nail Challenge Collaborative theme Inspired by Fashion. This mani was inspired by the following Lela Rose dress for Fall 2015.

Source: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/415668240584013014/
Here is the mani:

Recreating the vibe of the dress into a nail look was pretty easy and I loved wearing this one. It was simple and colorful without being too bold or over the top. Looking through Pinterest and Instagram for Fashion inspiration this month has given me a shopping bug! Now if only I had an unlimited budget for clothes.... lol.

Be sure to check out how the other ladies are finishing up their March Fashion Show below:

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents: Inspired by Fashion - Look 3

Happy Friday!!! I always love Fridays because it means the end of the work-week. Although my weekends aren't currently super exciting, I love having a couple days away from the office.

Today's look is inspired by this sunning Tom Ford dress:

And here is my look:

Polishes Used:
-KBShimmer - Eclipse
-Maybelline - Bold Gold
-China Glaze - I'd Melt for You

I sponged on the gold and silver metallic to give this a sort of textured feel like the dress has. I love the clean lines of both the dress and the manicure and I think the simplicity of it really make it something special.

Let's see what Fashion looks inspired the rest of the ladies this week!

Incoco Minimalist Collection

*Press Sample

Today I will be sharing with you the 5 lovely shades from the Incoco Minimalist Collection. "Less is more. The five new shades in Incoco's Minimalist Collection combine classic colors with refined lines and shapes for modern, high-impact nail art in minutes."

Apex: muted gold with a bold reverse-French triangle

Echo: a black & white linear and geometric design

Finale: converging and intersecting purple lines on muted gold

Forte: strong, classic red with a touch of black

Prelude: neutral beige with a slim black color block

I really love the first 3 designs of this collection - the last 2 are nice as well, just weren't really for me because I couldn't seem to get the black even on all the nails - which for someone with a little OCD sometimes was driving me crazy.

All of the strips in this collection had nice flexibility and laid flat on the nail without any wrinkles.

The Minimalist Collection retails for $8.99 per set and is available for purchase at incoco.com on March 31st.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents: Inspired by Fashion - Look 2

Happy Monday! One full week left of the month and I am determined to finish this theme because I really like it and I voted for it :)

I have recently started following a lot more fashion & lifestyle accounts on Instagram, and this look was inspired by THIS springtime outfit posted by @marykro. She has the best looks and if you're looking for fashion inspiration, I highly recommend you check her out.

Polishes Used:
-Rica - Whiteout
-Rica - Mellow Yellow
-China Glaze - I Sea the Point

This color combination is so bright & cheery, and perfect for spring. It even has a bit of a preppy nautical feel to it as well. With the warmer weather approaching, I am definitely looking forward to wearing brighter colors with the season.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents: Inspired by Fashion - Look 1

I know we are in the second half of this month, so I am getting a late start, but hoping that I will be able to get in all 4 Nail Challenge Collaborative looks this month. Fingers crossed!

This months theme is Inspired by Fashion, and for my first look I was inspired by THIS pretty skirt.

Polishes Used:
-KBShimmer - Eyes White Open
-KBShimmer - Stonewashed
-KBShimmer - Eclipse

Obviously not as smooth as the gradient in the skirt, but still pretty I think. I actually loved wearing this look; I thought that the colors looked great on my nubs.

Green-Eyed Monster: a kelly green nail lacquer

Rise By Sin: a smokey plum nail lacquer

Both of these shades are shown with 3 coats of color and no topcoat. I love how they each have a shimmer and shine to make them each a little bit special. :)

The Digit-al Dozen Does: Nature - Look 5

Happy Friday! As we come to a close on Nature week for The Digit-al Dozen, I think I really enjoyed coming up with looks for the week. I am closing out my week with nails inspired by Druzy Stones.

For this look I started with a textured blue base and sponged on a little bit of different blues and purples (although it's super hard to tell that I added any other colors); then I added this tan-ish color to the outside to represent the outside of the stone.

I am mixed on how it turned out, but I don't hate it, lol.

Check out how the other ladies are wrapping up their Nature week!

The Digit-al Dozen Does: Nature - Look 4

For today's look I turned to, what else, Pinterest for some Nature inspiration. I found THIS picture of the formations in Antelope Canyon, Arizona and decided to create a look inspired by it.

My look is a little bit of an abstract interpretation based off of the colors and texture of the rocks, and sort of has a similar vibe. I started with a nude base and used a mix of acrylic paints for the colored rocks. I really liked the feel that this look had when I was done.

Another fun thing when I was doing this was remembering how much I wanted to go on vacation to see the awesome landscapes across the States, we always say we will do sightseeing on our vacations and either never end up going on a vacation or going to the beach, lol. Maybe next year!

Let's see what the other ladies are doing today with their Nature looks!
