Phew! I managed to sneak this post in at the last second! I am sooo ready for summer and unfortunately they are calling for a huge snowstorm this weekend. (BOO!)
For this look, I created a mani inspired by sailing / water themed, like a summer vacation.
Polishes Used:
-Essie - Coat Azure
-China Glaze - Too Yacht To Handle
-Konad - White
-Cheeky Jumbo Plate 2 - Tropical Holiday
I like how the white boats are showing up on the blue / green base here. I *tried* to do a cute accent nail with a single boat and dolphin but it ended up coming out a little wonky, pretty sure you wouldn't have even known it was a dolphin if I hadn't mentioned it. haha.
If you're longing for summer too, make sure you check out what the other ladies did for their 4th summer mani!

Golden Oldie Thursday: Orange
Today's theme in Golden Oldie Thursday is ORANGE! I was never a huge fan of orange, although my high school colors were black and orange and my company's previous color was orange, I never really loved the color; it always just seemed so Halloween-y.
Anyway, that being said, I do have a Go-To Orange, Sinful Colors, Hazard, which I used in this look.
Polishes Used:
-Sinful Colors - Hazard
-Born Pretty - Holo Polish 1
-Glequins
I love the look of holographic polish but there are never holographic creams (at least that I know of?) so I love being able to make any shade holographic with my Born Pretty Holo Polish. Color 1 is basically clear so I can top any base color with it. I actually love what this did to Hazard. And speaking of Hazard, the reason that I love it is that it's a bit on the coral side and not so Halloween-y :) Finally, I added the glequins for a littler extra bring.
Make sure to check out what all the other ladies did with their oldie oranges!

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Summer - Week 3
This week I'm going to have to squeeze in two Summer NCC posts; with Valentine's looks this month, time almost got away from me.
For this look I decided to just go with something bright, crazy and summery.
Polishes Used:
-OPI - Alpine Snow
-Dear Rus - Noblesse - Venor16
-Dear Rus - Noblesse - Venor05
-Zoya - Paz
-Zoya - Tobey
-Jindie Nails - Eclectric
For this look I started with a base of Alpine Snow to make the colors pop. I then sponged on bright green, yellow, orange and pink randomly. To top everything off, I added the multicolored glitter to not only smooth out the sponging but also to add some other pops of color. I love how the bright matte glitters just give this a whole other look.
Make sure to check out what the other ladies did for their 3rd Summer themed looks!

Twinsie Tuesday: Favorite Nail Polish Brand
Today's theme in Twinsie Tuesday is "Favorite Nail Polish Brand". This was an easy one for me, my current favorite brand is OPI!
I love all of the neutral cream polishes that OPI comes out with and am trying to build up my stash of them, so for today's look I used the above four shades.
Polishes Used:
-OPI - Alpine Snow
-OPI - My Vampire is Buff
-OPI - My Very First Knockwurst
-OPI - Skull & Glossbones
I wanted to go for a sort of quilted gradient look. It didn't turn out exactly as I had envisions but I still love it!! It's so delicate and gentle looking and I didn't want to take it off! This was my first attempt at the quilted look, I don't think that mine had enough depth since I covered everything with a layer of topcoat but it also has a sort of lattice effect which is pretty.
Have you tried this type of look before?
I can't wait to see what the other ladies favorite brands are! I bet there may be a couple who pick OPI as well (I mean, who wouldn't? lol)

OPI - Fiji Weejee Fawn
Who wants to see another OPI polish that I picked up from a blogsale? I have been on a shopping roll lately. LOL (IDK if that's a good thing or a bad thing? lol)
Today I'm sharing OPI - Fiji Weejee Fawn.
I am wearing two coats of Fiji Weejee Fawn here with topcoat. This polish applied smoothly and although you can still see slight brush strokes and VNL I really like this. It is definitely one of the many polishes in my office polish rotation. At this point, it seems like been gravitating towards only purchasing polishes that would be acceptable for the office.
Do you own this shade? Do you like the shimmery polishes like this? Do you prefer creams?

OPI - Skull & Glossbones
I recently picked up OPI - Skull & Glossbones from a blog sale and today I'll be sharing my swatches with you.
This is two coats of Skull & Glossbones with topcoat. As you know I have been trying to add a lot more OPI polishes to my collection and I am so glad that I picked this up. I love earth tones and neutrals lately so this polish was perfect. I love wearing shades like these to work because they are office appropriate but I still feel fun and polishes.
Do you own this shade? Are you loving neutrals still like I am or are you onto the brighter colors for spring and summer already?

Golden Oldie Thursday: Chevron
Today I'm back with my middle nub and a Chevron mani for the Golden Oldie Thursday Challenge!
And here is my look!
Polishes Used:
-Sinful Colors - Slate
-Sinful Colors - Cream Pink
I've had these polishes for a while and hadn't used any Sinful in a couple of weeks so this was the perfect opportunity. I also used Nail Vinyls and the vinyls are the same color pink as this pink polish. Pink and gray used to be one of my favorite color combinations. I used to wear it a lot more so this was fun play around with. Unfortunately, this look also brings out how short my nubbin is :-( Can't wait for that to start growing and stop ripping!
Make sure to check out all the other ladies Chevron looks!

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Summer - Week 2
Happy Wednesday! Today I am back on track with my NCC posts! I had to miss last week with Valentine's Mani's; and I was really longing for summer (the cold and dreary weather has been getting me down)
So here is my second "Summer" look!
Polishes Used:
-OPI - Alpine Snow
-Lacquer by Lissa - Yinzer
-Konad - Yellow
-Cheeky Jumbo Plate 2 - Tropical Holiday
Unfortunately, I through I did a better job of clean up with the yellow than I did, but I couldn't see it IRL, only in the pictures. Also, you're stuck with my middle nub that I told you about yesterday.
This look was inspired by my summer activities in Pittsburgh. If you have been following my blog for a while you know one of my favorite summer activities is going to Pittsburgh Pirates baseball games. My husband and I have season tickets so we are always going to games. So for this look I did some bright yellow shades with a glittery accent nail. (For those who don't know, the Pittsburgh colors are black and yellow).
Speaking of Pittsburgh, Lacquer by Lissa is based out of Pittsburgh and Yinzer is definitely a hometown polish. (See wiki definition of a "Yinzer" here)
Don't forget to check out the other ladies fun summer manis!
