Press Release: Sally Hansen Goes in the Buff at the Stella McCartney 2015 Autumn Show

SALLY HANSEN GOES IN THE BUFF AT THE STELLA MCCARTNEY 2015 AUTUMN SHOW IN NEW YORK

Continuing the exclusive nail sponsorship with Stella McCartney Collections for the second season in a row, Sally Hansen hued with nude on Monday on Manhattan’s Upper East Side for the Stella McCartney Autumn 2015 Presentation. Complementing the golden-age majesty of the space and balancing the rich textures and soft modernity that comprises the Stella McCartney Collection, Sally Hansen nailed the beautifully bare beauty look that is the trend of the season.

THE NAIL LOOK

Global Color Ambassador, Madeline Poole, created a stunningly natural look using a single sheer shade, exposing clean, subtle elegance. The color choice was selected from Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure Collection. The only formula that offers seven benefits in one bottle.

Says Madeline: “We used two coats of Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure in “Sweet Talker” - this color is a sheer pastel pink. I wanted this to work as a blush or a lip gloss would, by enhancing the natural nails, just adding a warm blush tint without fully covering the nail. A super shiny "milk glass" effect”

THE SHADE

Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure – Sweet Talker

Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure collection is the only polish that infuses trend-setting shades with a nourishing, expert quality formula, including chip-resistant strength and gel-quality shine. Plus, with a built-in base and top coat, it’s everything you need to achieve a professional-quality manicure at home.

THE STELLA MCCARTNEY AUTUMN 2015 COLLECTION

Uptown timelessness with a twist of downtown nonchalance. The collection embraces effortless style with a quiet confidence combined with textures, opulent prints and metallic adornment.

Relaxed urban luxury with linear tailoring and streamlined knitwear in a natural color palette. An elongated double breasted coat in pure white wool melton with metal and plexi disc buttons is worn over black cropped kick flared trousers and a wool felt beret. A fur free fur statement in a camel crimped long haired jerkin, cinched and belted at the waist layered over a fine ribbed knit turtleneck. Knit on knit dressing with refined ribbed dresses and jumpers are reconstructed from mixed weight panels re-worked together into unexpected silhouettes.

Inspired by an undone tuxedo, a bow motif unravels from pattern to texture in day to evening looks. Cutwork embroidered bow encrusted on a stretch cady tunic dress in pure white is paired with black wool gabardine trousers. Fur free fur pom poms decorate a black wool melton coat worn with a bow encrusted silk crepe de chine blouse.

Rich and unconventional prints give the feeling of pieces from a treasure chest. A psychedelic garden print in collaboration with London based illustrator, Will Sweeny, is featured on a tunic pleat front top paired with trousers and an oxidized gold high heel mule. Playful wild cat and flower prints in metallic fil coupes in a detached band t-shirt and trouser suit layered with a bomber.

Evening plays on masculine and feminine including deconstructed dresses and tailored pieces adorned with metallic detailing. A white on white devore bow print look has an insouciant romantic attitude in a disheveled ruched top and fluid skirt. Metal elements in a mix of brass, silver and gold colors embroidered on a black cady tunic worn with utility trousers and earrings that mirror the shapes. An effortless strapless all in one with hammered gold ring detail.

Shoes are masculine and sporty in a lace-up or monk strap derby shoe with serrated rubber soles that create a statement attitude. Pumps and mules are lifted with a sculptured and constructed heel.

Sustainability is featured across the collection including Patagonia sustainable wool and wood, organic fabrics, biodegradable rubber soles and eco alter nappa, with the coating made of over 50% vegetable oil.
