KB Shimmer - Fall 2014 Polishes

Happy Labor Day! It's nice to have a long weekend away from work to spend some extra time doing leisurely activities, like baseball games, Gavin Degraw Concerts, and swatching Fall polish collections!

Today I have 5 shades from the new 10 piece Fall 2014 Collection from KB Shimmer.

How You Dune?: "Like sands through the hourglass, this “greige” polish is a perfect blend of creamy beige and a light grey, offering full coverage in 1-2 coats."

You know I'm all about work appropriate polishes and this greige has now been added into the work rotation. It's really a lovely greige and is very on trend of course. This is shown with two coats of color with topcoat.

Flannel Surfing: "Like a well-loved pair of pajama pants, this faded blue polish is warmed with gray undertones. Pops of orange, aqua and teal glitters complete this polish. Best in 2-3 coats."

I haven't seen a glitter/crelly mix polish with these shades before, this one is completely unique and perfect for a fall collection, I love how the glitters pop and blend against the milky blue base. This is two coats with topcoat; for a polish with glitters, this applied very evenly.

Rust No One: "This orange, rusty, red leaning pumpkin color is ideal for fall.  With its linear holographic rainbow, Rust No One is beautiful indoors and out.  This holographic polish covers well in 2-3 coats."

Hello gorgeous orange holo!! This is definitely one of my favorites from the collection, the shade of orange is red (or pink) leaning and looks like a shade that will flatter all skin tones. Too bad it was cloudy out when I wore this, I can't wait to see what it would look like outside in the sun. This polish applied smoothly and I am showing it here in two coats, no topcoat.

A Raisin to Live: "Deep and dark, A Raisin To Live is a deep burgundy, blacken Ox Blood colored polish full of holographic sparkles.  If you love Witch Way, try her vampy cousin."

Talk about a shade I couldn't stop staring at! I loved how A Raisin to Live kept me looking at my nails the whole time I had it on, so dark and squishy! This is two coats with topcoat and this shade had smooth and consistent application.

Stonewashed: "Jeans are a girl’s best friend, after diamond of course, and this dusty navy color is the perfect complement to denim. Applying Stonewashed is a breeze with 1-2 coat coverage."

Stonewashed was a breeze to apply; this is one coat with topcoat, as you can see, it applied smoothly and had full coverage. It's a lovely blue that is perfect for fall.

So there you have it! What do you think of these 5 shades?

All 10 of the shades in the collection will be available September 15th on KB Shimmer; if you're international, KB Shimmer polishes can be found at Harlow & Co.
