AIS - Light Stamping Over A Dark Base

This week's theme for Adventures In Stamping is Light Stamping over a Dark Base. This was a perfect opportunity to use one of my untrieds, a dark blue, for the base.

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-L'Oreal - After Hours
-Sally Hansen - Magical - Fairy Dust Pink
-BM-306

After Hours is a dark blue, almost black polish, which obviously makes for the perfect "dark base". I had been wanting to stamp with a holo polish for a while so I selected the "light" color, Fairy Dust Pink. This one actually more purple than pink, but that's ok; either way its a nice color. I didn't add a top coat to the photos because I didn't want to ruin the linear holo effect, but I did add one later to keep the mani on longer.

I never really liked holo polish, but its growing on me, and I actually like it for stamping, and lots of makers are creating beautiful holor creations, so you may be seeing more of it on me this year. :)

L'oreal - Broadway Beauty

Over the holiday break, Brigitte from Color Me So Crazy got me a couple polishes for Christmas :) Broadway Beauty is one of those polishes! This is a sandy/nude color that would be great for those ladies and gents that have to wear neutral polishes at the office.

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-L'oreal - Broadway Beauty
-OTD

This is two coats of Broadway Beauty and it is completely opaque. The application of this polish is really smooth and two coats didn't feel think or runny, perfect consistency.

Are you allowed to wear crazy and bright colored nail polish to work or do you need a nude / natural polish like this one?
