The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Tea Party - Look 2

Happy Sunday! Earlier this weekend, I did my second Tea Party look; these are so fun, although with this look I wasn't exactly sure what I was going to do, just started polishing and came up with this.

I went with a light and delicate color theme and lacey design  to represent a tea party! I wanted to do something a little different (for me) with this nude triangle with single rhinestone. It was fun and very subtle so  I liked that. It was inspired by some looks that I have seen Lisa of The Polish Playground do before and could picture her rocking a look like this.

Make sure to check out what how the other ladies are celebrating their Tea Parties this week!

Nude Leopard Print

To be honest, I haven't been wearing much nail polish to work lately, however, last week I decided to rock some manicures and this is one of them! I have been loving nail art over natural nails so much these days, something I never would have done a couple years ago, but I've just been seeing so many manicures using this style so I thought I would join in.

I love how this look turned out, I used Konad White polish over my natural nails and Pueen09 image plate. Because the image was so dense, I think that this design worked great with what I was going for, you can see a VNL but it's not so in your face and I LOVED wearing this. So simple. PLUS, I didn't have to spend the time waiting for my base color to dry, I just stamped directly onto my NailEnvy basecoat.

What do you think? Would you rock a look like this?

Falling For Nail Art Challenge: Crunchy Leaves

Today's theme in the Falling For Nail Art Challenge, is Crunchy Leaves.

I decided to go through my stamping plates and found one with leaves, so I knew it was a perfect combination. There is really no way that I can freehand leaves because I really suck at free-hand lol.

Polishes Used:
-Essie - Meet Me At Sunset
-Konad - White
-Konad - Yellow
-DIFFERENTdimension - Nessie's Revenge
-Bundle Monster Plate - BM-H11
-Pueen Plate - Pueen12
-Glisten & Glow - HK Girl Topcoat

I was excited that I had an opportunity to use this stamping plate. I had had issues with other BMH plates stamping but this one worked perfectly. I stamped the image using both white and yellow. Next, I topped it with Pueen 12 in Nessie's Revenge. It's a leaf image as well but the green is really sheer so it sort of just added a different dimension (no pun intended) to the look.

Make sure to check out what the other ladies did for their crunchy leaves manis!

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Technique Month - Week 2

Welcome to Week 2 of the Nail Challenge Collaborative - Technique Month. Today I will be using one of my favorite techniques, STAMPING!!!

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-China Glaze - Too Yacht to Handle
-Sally Hansen - Magenta Magic
-Pueen - pueen25

This is a really simple and plain mani but I am totally in love with it!!! Stamping is absolutely my favorite technique that makes super complicated looking mani's totally easy! I also really love this color combination, sort of reminds me of my blog background don't you say?

I just ordered a new set of plates from Cheeky (they will be my first Cheeky plates) and I can't wait to receive them! (I tell you this so you're ready for all the great stamping mani's that will be coming up haha)

Don't forget to check out what techniques the other ladies did for their week 2 manis!

AIS - Base and Stamping in the same color scheme

YAY; hope you don't mind all of the stamping this week! This week's theme in Adventures in Stamping is Base and Stamping in the same color scheme; hahaha so of course I picked pink!

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-Essie - Super Bossa Nova
-Konad - Pink
-Pueen 23
-Out The Door

I really love the pink on pink design and how the lighter color is the one I used to stamp :) I actually wore this look earlier in the week and couldn't stop staring at my nails all day at work haha! Today I will keep the post SUPER short and sweet but I hope you like this look and all the other pretty ones that I'm sure you will be seeing around the blog-o-sphere today :)

Saturday Stamping in Pink!

OK so I know Sundays are for stamping but I have been doing it a lot lately so today I will be showing you the mani I actually wore to work yesterday.

Anyways, onto the mani!

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-OPI - Alpine Snow
-Wet 'n Wild - Through the Grapevine
-OPI - Kiss Me on my Tulips
-Pueen plate - pueen18

I am not sure what this image plate is supposed to be but my mani reminds me of a pretty pink and white damask type design. I actually used the darker pink (Through the Grapevine) which is more purple leaning for the area towards my cuticles with the brighter pink (Kiss me on my Tulips) for the tips. Neither are stamping polishes so both were a little sheerer than some of my stamping polishes but I still think this is a very pretty and fun design. Of course, the camera had a hard time differentiating between the pinks.

What do you think of this design? Have you tried stamping yet? If not, you must try, I'm obsessed with it this week!

What I Wore - Pirates Game Nails

Happy Monday! I am back with the long awaited second edition of "What I Wore" lol. Anyway, on Friday my husband and I went to the Pittsburgh Pirates [baseball] game. Now if you know us, you will know that we are full season ticket holders so going to a game is nothing special for us, however, since we do go a lot, I rarely do "Pittsburgh" themed nails, but this past Friday, I did, and here there are :)

Polishes Used:
- Nail Tek II
-Nicole by OPI - Ladies in the Limelight
-Konad - White
-Konad - Black
-HK Girl Topcoat
-Pueen11

I was planning on using black and white to stamp with over this lime leaning yellow, but I let my husband pick the stamping image and he picked these fun arrows. I picked up Ladies in the Limelight from my local Big Lots for only $1.00! It was a little thin so I am wearing 3 coats, but it is completely smoothed out and fully opaque.

Do you ever go to baseball games or do "team" colored manis?

GOSH - With a Twist & Stamping!

Today I am sharing with you a manicure that I did using one of my new GOSH polishes that I picked up while in Belgium, GOSH With a Twist.

Polishes Used:
-GOSH - With a Twist
-Maybelline - Bold Gold
-Out the Door

With a Twist is a really lovely shade  and as with my other GOSH polishes it had a really great application. Completely opaque and full coverage with two coats. I liked wearing this mani to work. I would actually consider this an neutral mani with With a Twist and Bold Gold, when you looked closed and in the right light the gold and design was pretty but sometimes, very subtle.

Do you like this mani? Do you own any of the GOSH Special Edition polishes? I hope to get more eventually!

Summer Mani Challenge - Summer Stamp

I am one date late with this Summer Mani Challenge Post. This week's theme is Summer Stamp. Unfortunately I did this after I came home from my trip and I had to file down all my nails to little nubs, to top it off I got a cut on my middle finger so pretty much my nails look a hot mess at the moment.

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-China Glaze - Highlight of my Summer
-China Glaze - Bottoms Up
-China Glaze - That's Shore Right
-Konad - Pink
-Northern Lights
-Pueen 19

Other than my little mess of nubs, I actually like this design. I think that it's fun and summery and really very easy to do. Just a little stamping and addition of a couple dots here and there.

Make sure to check out what the other ladies did for their Summer Stamping Manis!

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Stamping Week 1

May's theme for the Nail Challenge Collaborative is Stamping. I love this theme and voted for it myself. As you know I enjoy stamping and our very own Katee from A Girl and Her Polish inspired me to keep at it when I first started.

Anyway, today I decided to try out one of my Pueen images that I had been meaning to use, so here we go:

Polishes Used:
-Rejuvacote
-Essence - High Spirits
-Konad - Pink
-Poshe
-Pueen 05

This is a different sort of color combination that you don't seem to run into everyday but I loved it! The stamping was subtle but bright on top of the olive base. I even wore this mani to my friends sons first communion :)

Make sure to check out all the other fun stamping mani's that the ladies did and don't forget to enter the Spring Fling Giveaway!
