Happy Saturday! I've been slacking with my October Nail Challenge Collaborative looks so today I'm here with my first one. I am not in love with this but I still felt like sharing.
Polishes Used:
-NOPI - Better After Dark
-Rica - Whiteout
-China Glaze - If in Doubt, Surf it Out
-China Glaze - Stoked to be Soaked
-China Glaze - Sun of a Peach
With this look I decided to go with a fall color scheme and have the stripes be the negative. I think this could have looked a little better but definitely had a fall vibe to it. I have some more ideas in mind for the three remaining looks for October so I can't wait to put those together to show you.
Let's see how the other ladies are rocking stripes this month!

NOPI Roughles - On What Grounds?
I recently met up with some Pittsburgh nail girlies and the lovely Nicole of Doctor Crafty gifted me my very first NOPI Roughles polish, On What Grounds?
I am wearing two coats of On What Grounds? without topcoat. I really liked how this shade had flecks of other colors in it and dried nice and quickly. It is a nice simple seafoam teal color so it's very on trend as well.
I will probably be keeping my eyes peeled to see if I can find the rest of the Roughles Collection (if you're still seeing them out in stores, let me know where!)
Do you own any polishes in the collection?

Nicole by OPI - Kellogg's Polish Trio
During the last couple of months, I saved up all my Kellogg's codes and was able to earn enough for the Nicole by OPI trio created specially for Kellogg's Special K.
Challenge Red-Y: This is a lovely rich red shade. Perfect self leveling application in two coats.
Be AMA-ZING: A pretty hot petal pink polish. Smooth application with complete opacity in two coats.
Pros & Confidence: A vibrant sky blue/teal polish. Complete coverage in two coats with nice application.
All of these shades, although not super original, are nice additions to my collection. You can get the entire trio for 8 codes, or a single polish for 3 code. I believe you can still submit codes until March 11, 2014. Check out the site HERE to submit your codes and get your polishes.
Do you have any of these shades? Which is your favorite?

Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired by a Family Member
I have only been a part of the Twinsie group since the beginning of the year and I already feel like I know a lot about these ladies and I love that!
This week's theme is Inspired by a Family Member. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to do but while looking through my stamping plates, it hit me! Makeup! My mom sells Mary Kay and my sister is really into doing makeup and loves all the latest products.
So here is my look,
Polishes Used:
-Nicole by OPI - Challenge Red-y
-OPI - Kiss Me on my Tulips
-Konad - White
-Out The Door - Northern Lights
-Bundle Monster Plate - BM-303
For this look, I started with a base of Challenge Red-y and then added the Kiss Me on my Tulips via the Saran Wrap Method, this created a little bit of dimension in the base before my stamping. Once that was dry I stamped on some lips and lipstick to represent the MAKEUP. Finally, I added Northern Lights to give a glitter to look which represented to me glitter is lip-gloss, eye shadow, etc.
What do you think of this look? Also, just for fun here is a photo of me and my mom and another of me and my sister!

Crumpet's Nail Tarts Christmas Winter Challenge - Winter Nature
Happy Sunday!!! Today I am back with my second mani in the Crumpet's Nail Tarts Christmas Winter Challenge. This look is, Winter Nature.
I had something in mind for this look and I really love how it was executed on the nail :)
Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-NOPI - Midnight Madness
-Revlon - Emerald
-Maybelline - Bold Gold
-Hard Candy - Matte-ly in Love
-Cheeky Jumbo Plate 6 - Happy Holidays
Originally I had planned on just doing gold trees overtop of a green base, however, I decided that adding the dark shimmerly blue with the green in a Saran Wrap mani would give more of the "at night" illusion to this look. Ulitmatley, after stamping I decided it would look good matte; and I loved how the final look turned out! Christmas Trees outside at night!
What do you think? Does this fit with the Winter Nature theme?
Don't forget to check out what the other Nail Tarts did with this theme below!

Mixed Texture Look
It's the weekend! Whoohoo!!!
Today I am going to be sharing with you a look that was inspired by Kelly over at Tuxarina who did something similar for her Day 17 "Glitter" nails (check out her mani here) I didn't do *exactly* the same as her but something very similar. (P.S. If you're not following her blog already, you're really missing out!)
Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-OPI - Mrs. O'Leary's BBQ
-NOPI - Cinna-man of my Dreams
I loved how simple this look was but the effect was really great. I got a lot of compliments when I wore this to work earlier in the week and some people touched my nails too since they were textured. lol.
I have a fair amount of textured polishes in lots of color and I seem to keep buying more; so keep and eye out for more mani's along these lines in the future!

What I Wore - Pirates Game Nails
Happy Monday! I am back with the long awaited second edition of "What I Wore" lol. Anyway, on Friday my husband and I went to the Pittsburgh Pirates [baseball] game. Now if you know us, you will know that we are full season ticket holders so going to a game is nothing special for us, however, since we do go a lot, I rarely do "Pittsburgh" themed nails, but this past Friday, I did, and here there are :)
Polishes Used:
- Nail Tek II
-Nicole by OPI - Ladies in the Limelight
-Konad - White
-Konad - Black
-HK Girl Topcoat
-Pueen11
I was planning on using black and white to stamp with over this lime leaning yellow, but I let my husband pick the stamping image and he picked these fun arrows. I picked up Ladies in the Limelight from my local Big Lots for only $1.00! It was a little thin so I am wearing 3 coats, but it is completely smoothed out and fully opaque.
Do you ever go to baseball games or do "team" colored manis?

Holiday Happy Hour - Guest Post By Color Me So Crazy
This is a special week in the Holiday Happy Hour Series because we have 3 guest posts! I asked one of my good friends IRL, Brigitte, from Color Me So Crazy to do a post for me, and of course, she said yes. As she mentions below, we are neighbors so it's fun to be able to borrow and try out new polishes and techniques together :)
*****
Ohh my first guest blog post and I am pumped!! When Stephanie asked about possibly doing a Holiday post, I didn't know what to do. I'm in two challenge groups and by this point I have just about every Christmas themed mani picked out for my challenges and Holiday parties. Then... I was watched ABC Family and saw a commercial for Justin Biebers new perfume and then I got a light bulb!! Today's theme is "All I Want for Christmas to Get Rid of My Bieber Fever!" I have Bieber Fever baaaad! This actually started as a joke at work because I was singing extra loud to myself along with Bieber. I walked out of my office and there were all my coworkers staring! This then evolved into my Bieber craze. I was given Bieber notebooks, pictures on my desktop and even a Justin doll. It has now turned into a fever! I have an office decorated like a teenager!!! So instead of hiding from my constant embarrassing teenage gifts from my coworkers, I am going to embrace it. Lets just hope the fever goes down in the new year!! As you can see, my fever starts out mild and quickly escalates to red hot, psychotic purple and finally explodes to an all out Bieber epidemic! Enjoy!!
*****
These shades are all so pretty, and they look super cute with those heart glitters. And Brigitte is right, although it started out as a joke, my husband and I did get a Bieber themed gift to give to one of them for Christmas ;)
Thanks Brigitte for participating in this series for me!
