Nail Art for Nubs Link-Up

First off, I want to say HAPPY 25th BIRTHDAY to my little sister! You saw a lovely post last week with a picture of my pretty little sister and I so everyone should wish Elizabeth a great day :)

I'm finally back with another Nail Art for Nubs Link-Up. I hadn't participated for a couple weeks but have been meaning to get back into the flow of it. Here is the look that I created for this week.

Polishes Used:
-GOSH - With a Twist
-OPI - My Vampire is Buff
-OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls
-Konad - Black
-Cheeky Jumbo Plate 1 - Viva Mexico

For this look, I started with a base of With a Twist, then I sponged on some random splotches of My Vampire is Buff and My Boyfriend Scales Walls. After letting that dry, I added the stamping using the special Konad Black polish and Viva Mexico plate from Cheeky.

I like this look because it was super simple to create but the design of the stamp gives it a really unique look. I only wish I was better at stamping straight because my stamping always seems to come out a little diagonally. I didn't add any topcoat to this look because I sort of liked the half shiny half dull look without topcoat.

Do you love this look? Hate it? Any suggestions for straighter stamping?

Make sure to check out what the other nubbinized ladies did this week.

Elle - Gold 'n Glitz & Amp It Up Amethyst

Today I have two pretty Elle shades to share with you. These polishes were gifts from my sister for my Birthday earlier this summer and I am finally getting around to wearing them.

First up, Gold 'n Glitz:

I am wearing two coats of Gold 'n Glitz topped with Out The Door. This shade is a really pretty gold, I do have some similar colors but nothing exactly like it. It is a two coater and wouldn't be as good for nail art or stamping as say Maybelline Bold Gold.

Next Up, Amp It Up Amethyst:

I am wearing two coats of color in these photos topped with Out The Door. This is a really gorgeous color!!! Look at that last photo and first to see all the different shimmers in this. It isn't a durochrome but its definitely packed full of shimmery goodness!

Which of these shades do you like best? My favorite is the Amp It Up Amethyst.

Elle - Dancing Queen

My sister gave me my birthday gifts a couple of week's ago and she got me two, three packs of Elle nail polish. She also asked me to do her nails and picked out Dancing Queen from the new polishes. I actually really loved how it looked on her so I used it on myself too!

Polishes Used:
-Nail Tek II
-Elle - Dancing Queen
-HK Girl

I am wearing two coats of Dancing Queen here and it provided full coverage. This is a pretty light pink/green/gray durochrome, which I unfortunately didn't do too well in capturing with my pictures. The application was pretty nice with the Elle polish as well although with the finish of this shade you could see some brushstrokes, but nothing too crazy.

Do you own any Elle polishes? I am not sure where all you can purchase them, but I know my sister purchased the sets from Kohls :)

Dior - Pink Kimono

I'm back in action today!

While I was out of town over the weekend, I got a couple birthday packages in the mail. One very special package was my VERY FIRST DIOR polish from my good friend Melissa! She picked a color that she thought would be very me and boy was she dead on! I probably would have picked this exact same color!

So here we have, DIOR Pink Kimono:

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-Dior - Pink Kimono
-Poshe

I used two coats of Pink Kimono for this mani and the application and coverage was flawless. I still can't say how much I really appreciated this gift as it is something I would never splurge on for myself. Thank you so much Melissa <3

Do you own any Dior polishes? What is your favorite shade?

Happy Birthday to Me! And Happy Fathers Day!

Today is my 27th Birthday! Whoohoo!

Just for fun, here is some picture spam of me throughout the years (you get like up to 6 years old then skip to this year, lol):

Also, today is Father's Day, so here are some pictures of me and my dad!

P.S. It's your last chance to enter my JINDIE-pendence giveaway!

Happy Birthday Molly!

Today my adorable dog-baby turns 6 years old! As you may be aware, I am obsessed with Molly and think she is just so cute and want to snuggle her all the time.

This is going to be a non-nail polish related post, so if you're not a dog lover like me, you don't need to read on (but seriously, who doesn't like dogs!)

Molly is a cockapoo! The pictures sort of go in chronilogical order. Look how small she was when we got her 6 years ago! I think she weighed around 7lbs. Now she's a little sturdier; lol. Sometimes she wears a short hairstyle and sometimes shes has long wavy hair. She will get presents when Rob and I get home from work, two toys and edible b-day card rawhide. I usually get a dog-bed for her birthday but she currently has 4 different beds scattered throughout our house, so I think we are good on that front.

Do you have any dog-babies? Are you as obsessed as I am? :)

GlitterFest: Sweet Summertime Collection - Beach Bum

Happy Saturday Ladies! Today is my birthday! Whoohoo! I am officially closer to 30 than 20; lol, that's ok though :)

Today I am wearing the Beach Bum polish from Rachel's Sweet Summertime Collection. She describes Beach Bum as follows:  Plan to be at the beach this summer? This polish is perfect for the beach bum in all of us. A close cousin of our Limited EditionTutti Frutti polish, this pink jelly polish is the perfect shade for getting your tan on!

Polishes Used:
-Nailtiques - Formula 2 Plus
-Sinful Colors - Flutter
-GlitterFest - Beach Bum
-Gelous
-Out The Door - TopCoat

This is a pretty pink polish, it reminds me of a "Barbie" color :) The blue glitters were a little hard to get out on their own and I had to fish some out to make sure each nail got at least 1, but they look really fun against the pink in my opinion.

I have already gotten some birthday nail "mail" from my girlfriend Amanda earlier this week; I took the picture with my phone at the office because I was so excited, and it was so nice of her! Here is a quick look at what she got me:

Thanks Amanda! I can't wait to try out these polishes, microbeads, glitters and flowers when I am done swatching the Sweet Summertime Collection :)
