GlitterFest: Sweet Summertime Collection - Strawberry Lemonade

I recently received my order from Rachel over at GlitterFest (her etsy shop is currently on vacation as she is getting married, but you visit her store here) As the shop name implies, shes makes awesome glitter packed polishes. I purchased the Sweet Summertime mini- collection which contained six mini polishes, below are the pictures from her listing and I will be swatching 1 a day :)

From L->R in the first picture, the colors are: Juicy Watermelon, Boys of Summer, Water Wings, Beach Bum, Spray Tan and Strawberry Lemonade.

They all looked awesome and I couldn't decide where to start to I let Rob pick for me :) (It was cute, he started off by holding up the two pinks and saying they were too similar in color so not to swatch them next to each other haha) Anyway, he picked Strawberry Lemonade. Rachel describes this polish as: Mmmmm! This polish is a beautiful, shimmery, berry-red with yellow and gold glitter. Perfect for any occasion summer might have to offer...this one is sweet! =P

My camera did not want anything to do with capture how awesome this glitter is! Grrr. The polish looks slightly more red-orange in the photos, but in real life it really does remind me of a nice bright strawberry lemonade.

Steel The Show & Jewels For Your Highness

Today I am showing you two of my new colors at once. Spoiled - Steel The Show & Wet 'n Wild Coloricon - Jewels For Your Highness. I recently purchased these at CVS & Right Aid. (love me some drugstore brands - lol)

I tried to capture the awesome glitter that is JFYH so I hope you like it. I think that these two colors actually look really good together and it feels just like a fun mani that I could wear out for a night on the town.

Do you own any of these Wet 'n Wild glitters? What about the China Glaze ones?

Swatch: Essie - Coat Azure

Weren't those Bonita's fun? (There is a yellow in the collection that I have yet to swatch but I just couldn't keep to do it right now, not feeling the yellow at all. I will get to it eventually.) Anyway, when I bought those at Ross, I also picked up two bottles of Essie Coat Azure, I kept one and gave one to my friend Amanda. I originally wore these plain but decided to add an accent nail, unfortunately, I got a little happy with my topcoat and smeared it up (i'll show you but its not pretty. lol)

See what I mean about the smearing? I was rushing though and didn't really have time to clean it up, which wasn't too big of a deal because from a far you couldn't tell; but the picture tells no lies. Anyway, the final picture is a snapshot of the fabric of one of my new summer maxi dresses. I wore the nails with the dress and felt like it was super cute.

Swatch: Bonita - Teal

Today I am wearing the teal color from my Bonita set. This is probably one of my top favorite colors from the collection, for two reasons, 1) It's teal 2) It's creme!

As I mentioned previously, this is a creme polish and was almost completely opaque in one coat although I have two coats on here. Also, there is a slight shimmer in the polish, just barely noticable in person, but I think that is what is causing some of the weird flash in the photos.
Teal is absolutely my favorite color of the season, what is yours?

Swatch: Bonita - Green

Today I am showing you the green from the Bonita collection. This is NOT a color I would normally wear and it probably won't get worn again as a plain polish. This color reminds of the term "ecto-cooler" lol.

I needed 3 coats of polish for complete coverage; 2 coats was just a little too streaky for me. I added some flowers for an accent nail. These are actually nail stickers that a friend had left over and gave me so I thought why no use them. Similar look to stamping, but much easier and less time consuming :)

Do you ladies ever use nail stickers like these?
