NYC Fashion Queen Collection: Swatches & Review

Yesterday I shared with you the Press Release for the NYC New York Color Fashion Queen Collection and today I have swatches of 4 of those shades!

Royal Chic

Royal Chic is a nice rich creamy dark brown polish. This is two coats without topcoat. A perfect vampy brown for fall.

Queen of the City

Queen of the City is an awesome raspberry purple polish with an awesome shimmer; shades like this just scream "fall collection" to me. This is two coats without topcoat.

Fashion Queen

Fashion Queen is a super sparkly marigold golden glitter polish. This is two coats without topcoat, for a glitter I'm loving that this is completely opaque in just two coats!

Rule The City

 

Rule The City is a gray glitter polish with larger red glitters mixed in. This is ONE coat of Rule The City without topcoat and as you can see it's pretty much opaque; love one-coaters!

Zoya Ignite Collection for Fall 2014

Happy Saturday! Today I have the 6 lovely shades from the Zoya Ignite Collection for Fall 2014 to share.



All swatches shown with two coats of color, no topcoat

These shades are the shimmery sisters of the Entice Collection.

Autumn: "Autumn by Zoya can be best described as a varnished copper liquid metal."

Yuna: "Yuna by Zoya can be best described as a full-coverage warm grey with copper and gold liquid metal."

Teigen: "Teigen by Zoya can be best described as a full-coverage pink toned cranberry with a copper liquid metal."

India: "India by Zoya can be best described as a deep, luxurious red with a gold liquid metallic shimmer."

Sansa: "Sansa by Zoya can be best described as a deep eggplant with a gold metallic sparkle, in the flawless full-coverage, liquid metal formula."

So I am loving the Ignite Collection! The formulas of these polishes were really nice, not to thin, not too thick, complete coverage in two coats. I am also obsessed with the shimmer in these and my pictures don't do them justice.

Morgan Taylor - Swatches & Review

Today I have 6 more Morgan Taylor shades to share with you! If you're a fan of pinks and berry shades then these are the polishes for you.



All swatches are shown with two coats of polish without topcoat

Sitting Pretty:

Sitting Pretty is a PRETTY shade of bright pink! Perfect for a summer look. It is similar to it's sister (which I'm sharing next) except Sitting Pretty is the cooler of the two.

Prettier In Pink:

As mentioned, this shade is very similar to the shade above; it's a tad brighter/lighter to me. Also a very nice bright pink for summer.

Hot Hot Tamale:

Love love love this shade! It's a bright coralish, pinkish red cream and the application was flawless.

Berry Perfection:

Who doesn't love a berry polish? I know I do, and this one applied nicely, this is two coats but three could have worked as well.

It's My Party:

This is one coat of It's My Party over Berry Perfection. IMP could definitely be built up and worn alone in two or three coats.

Who's That Girl?:

This was one of my favorites of the entire collection; the micro glitters and shimmers of this shade  were completely opaque in two coats!

Sweet Heart Polish - California Dreamin' Collection - Swatches & Review

I hope you're still loving summer collections, I know I am, and today I have another to share with you! The California Dreamin' Collection, from Sweet Heart Polish. I tried my first Sweet Heart Polish's earlier this year and have been loving them ever since.

All colors are shown 2 coats of color over a white base without topcoat (with the exception of the glitter topper)

There are 6 eye-popping shades in the collection along with a glitter topper, so let's get started.

Amped

 

Amped is a jelly-leaning neon pink polish with pink to gold shimmer. It applied nicely in two coats and had a self leveling formula.

 

Rad

Rad is an orange jelly-leaning polish with peachy gold shimmer. It is really pretty on the nail and of course, my husband's favorite, since it's orange!

Bitchin

Bitchin was obviously one of my favorites of the collection, seeing as it's a YELLOW! This shade was sheer and definitely popped over the white base. It actually has a purple shimmer, which as Cassandra warned me, was a bitch to show up in the pictures!

Gnarly

I love a good light lime green creamy polish. This was definitely the creamiest of the collection and could definitely be built up to opaque on it's own in 2 coats. Gnarly has a green and pink micro flakies.

Wipe Out

Royal blue polishes seem to be super hot right now, and can you blame us? When you see a shade like this you want to snatch it up as well. I love the extra gold flakies in all sizes of this one.

Shred

Shred is the purple shade of the collection, but I would much rather categorize this as orchid - so on trend. Shred has gold flakies and a blue shimmer.

My Kind of Party

 

Who doesn't love a glitter topper? This one has a bit of everything,  red and blue flakes with holo and silver holo stars. My  Kind of Party is actually a free gift with the purchase of the entire California Dreamin Collection :)

This collection truly reminds me of summer in California; at least what I imagine summer in California to be like! All the polishes had nice application, each with their own thing that made them a little special.
