Essence - Grey-t To Be Here

My Ulta, FINALLY got their Essence polishes back in stock (with the new bottle design of course). I am just so happy they are back, I really like that I am able to get them, even if they are just the plain Colour to Go shades (now if only Ulta would be able to stock the specialty collections!)

I saw Grey-t To Be Here and knew I needed it. It's sort of a grey version of Cinderella. Grey with pink colored shimmer :)

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-Essence - Grey-t To Be Here
-OTD

This is a lovely color and it had great application. Two coats and it is completely opaque. Unfortunately I just couldn't capture the pink shimmer well with my camera. Any suggestions from you ladies (and gents) for capturing shimmer at it's finest?

P.S. The Fall Into Autumn Challenge starts this Saturday, are you as excited as I am?

Color Club - Blue with Glitter!

Happy Wednesday!

Today I am showing you a new polish that I got from a friend in MANPEG :) (Thanks Brittany!)
This is actually my first color club polish and it's lovely! I didn't see a name on the bottle but its a great blue jelly with silver and holographic glitters inside.

Polishes Used:
-Nailtiques - Formula 2 Plus
-Color Club - "Blue Glitter"
-OTD

The application was great for a glitter polish and didn't get "globby" like some can tend to do. It also was like having a built in Jelly Sandwich, similar look in 1/2 the time. (You know me, all about efficiency)

Do you own any Color Club polishes? What is your favorite shade?

Pittsburgh Skittle Nails

Today I am showing you a mani that I did over the weekend for a Pittsburgh Pirates game. My husband and I have season tickets to the Pirates so I don't do a "theme" mani for each game, but for this game, I was going with some extended family so I thought I would spice things up :)

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-Claires - Banana (P.S. This is scented and it REALLY does smell like Banana)
-Essence - Punk Royal
-China Glaze - Black Mesh
-Sinful Colors - Snow Me White
-Kiss - Nail Art Striper - White
-Kiss - Nail Art Striper - Black
-OTD

As we all know, I don't normally like to wear yellow polishes - they just don't really look good on my skintone, however, when you live in Pittsburgh and ALL of the professional sports teams colors are Black and Gold (and a yellow gold at that), you'll end up wearing it here and there ;-)

What do you think? Which is your favorite design? Do you ever do team themed manis?

Essence - Mauve Like A Rockstar

Happy Monday Loves!

I know I have been doing a lot of "plain" swatching lately, but I have a lot of untrieds that I am going through prior to my upcoming nail challenge for fall. (Whoohoo!)

Today I  have on Essence Mauve Like A Rockstar. I got this polish from Mateja with my prize :)

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-Essence - Mauve Like A Rockstar
-OTD

I have been loving "nude" polishes lately, although this isn't exactly nude, its very close. I am so glad that Mateja sent me Essence polishes because my Ulta literally has ZERO.

I wanted to add a little something to this mani, and I think it looks like a good mani for a wedding or something classic like that ;-)

Polishes Added:
-OPI - Pirouette My Whistle
-NYC - Matte Me Crazy

This was my first attempt at a reverse glitter gradient and I really like how it turned out. Out of this duo I love the second look better. What about you?

Adventures in Stamping - Pulsating Pink & Purple

This week's challenge is Pulsating Pink & Purple. I recently got a new hot pink and knew I wanted to use it for this challenge.

I'll show you the plain pink first:

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-Icing- I Can Hold Em
-OTD

This color really pops more than the pictures are showing, it's a true neon (Love it!)

Next I decided to throw in some purple prior to stamping so I did some splatter of purple on the nails (unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of this stage - boo!). Then I added some butterflies with the BM-205 plate.

Polishes Added:
-Funky Fingers - Cheshire
-Konad - White
-BM-205
-OTD

What do you think? Does this capture the "Pulsating Pink and Purple" theme for this week? I think so!

Icing - Purple Passion

It's nice to be back at home after my business trip to Tennessee. Today I have Icing Purple Passion to show you. This was one of the polishes that I got in the mail last weekend :) *Love Nail Mail*

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-Icing - Purple Passion
-Out The Door - TopCoat

I really like this color! It's not exactly purple though, I would call it fuchsia however ;). It has a nice little silver shimmer to it as well.  I decided to add a little something do it with a coat of Love & Beauty's Pink Glitter.

After I put the glitter on, I decided that I liked it better plain - too late. Oh well.

Which version do you like better? Plain polish or glitter version?

P.S. Here are some pictures from my trip:

China Glaze - Turned Up Turquoise

Happy Wednesday Lovelies!

Over the weekend I got some grab-bag nail mail with 25 new (to me) polishes! I can't wait to try them out. One of them was China Glaze T.U.T., it's a lovely neon turquoise color, which I will show you now!

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-China Glaze - Turned Up Turquoise

This color looks pretty and I love the matte effect of the neon but I have to say I was a little disappointed with the application. It was streaky, took 3 coats for complete coverage, and you an see brush strokes. However, once you get past those things, I really think this is a gorgeous color.

What do you think?
