Salon Perfect: Neon Pop Collection Swatches & Revew - Part 3

Happy Monday! Before we get into the look, today is my husbands birthday (HBD Rob!), we are taking the day off of work to go to the local amusement park - so hopefully the weather holds out!

With this look I am wrapping up the review of the Salon Perfect Neon Pop Collection polishes that I received.

Left to Right: Plum Sorbet, Bermuda Baby, Flamingo Flair

Instead of some straight up swatches I decided to do a splatter mani to show them off!

I'm loving this look! The white is Salon Perfect Sugar Cube and once I "splattered" on the neons I topped off this look with Salon Perfect Crystal Clear. I didn't want to take this off when I did but I had other looks to do, so I only kept it on for a couple of hours. I will probably re-do it at sometime. Also, I love the purplish shade that the blue over the pink creates!

Crumpet's Nail Tarts: Tri-Polish Challenge

Hello Lovelies! Today I have my second post in the March Tri-Polish Challenge.

For this look, I decided to go with a fun splatter mani, and added in the white that we were allowed to use as well!

For this mani, I used Zoya - Lotus as a base, Sinful Colors - Hazard, and Sally Hansen - White On. I have only done a couple manicures using the splatter technique but I really like it. It's one of my favorite, "you can't go wrong" looks.

31 Day Challenge - Day 24: Inspired By A Book

Today's challenge was "Inspired By A Book". At first I wasn't sure what to do, and my friend Amanda asked me what books I had read recently. One of the more recent books that I read was "Too Close To Miss", by John Perich. John is my cousin and this was his debut book (is that what they call it?)

Here is a little synopsis of the book from the Amazon website:
"Mara Cunningham knew that sleeping with a married man was a bad idea. But when her lover shows up in the hospital after his wife and son are murdered, the rumors about Mara turn dangerous. Now she's the prime suspect in a double homicide, and the real killers will stop at nothing to silence her. It was a book that kept me reading and was easy to get through, if you want to download it for kindle, you can get it here, for free :)

As you can see, I tried to replicate the color. I also tried splatter mani to get the "bloodstained" look. I hadn't tried this technique before but plan to do a splatter mani on it's own in June. What do you think?
