I'm knocking out my second Nail Challenge Collaborative Geometric nails for the week! Back to stamping for this one (there are just so many good geometric images out there).
Polishes Used:
-KB Shimmer - Eclipse
-Rica - White Out
-Rica - Mellow Yellow
For this look, I once again did a light stamp over a dark base (hmm, I'm seeing a trend here...). I wanted to give the look a little something extra, and the subtle white and yellow blended stamping gives you that.
Let's see how the other ladies are doing with their Geometric looks; wonder if they are trending towards certain themes like I am?

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Geometric - Look 1
Well the ladies of the Nail Challenge Collaborative may not have been the biggest Tea Party fans because this month, we voted in something fairly opposite, Geometric Nails, as our theme! I am really looking forward to this theme because there are just so many different looks that can be created.
Polishes Used:
-Essie - Bobbing for Baubles
-Konad - White
-Cheeky Jumbo Plate 8 - Princess Charming
I wanted to do some contrasting colors for this look to make the geometric pattern pop but didn't want to use black so I went for the deep navy of Bobbing for Baubles. I really like how this look came out and it was nice to use a stamping image that I hadn't tried before.
Check out how the other ladies are adding some geometry to their nail looks below:

Patriotic Stamping - Happy 4th of July!
Happy 4th of July for the girls and boys in the US! Of course I had to do a patriotic mani and with all the holiday themed stamping plates out there, it was easy :)
Polishes Used:
-China Glaze - Electric Beat
-China Glaze - Man Hunt
-OPI - ?? (It's a mini bottle red shade)
-Rica - Whiteout
-Cheeky Jumbo Plate 6 - Happy Holidays
This is just a really simple look, I started with the Electric Beat base and them sponged on some random red and blue and topped it off with the USA stamping :)
To celebrate the day, I'll be hitting up the Pirates / Phillies game later today and maybe getting together with some friends. (Can't get more American than a baseball game on the 4th right?)
Let me know what you think of the look and what your plans are for the day!

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Black & White - Week 2
Black & White Week 2; for my second Nail Challenge Collaborative June mani, I decided to do some simple white stamping over a black base.
Polishes Used:
-KB Shimmer - Eclipse
-Konad - White
-Cheeky Jumbo Plate 8 - Princess Charming
As I mentioned before, I just wanted to do something really simple and easy and black and white stamping is perfect for just that. This would be a fun look to do a little lead lighting with jelly polishes over top of to bring out some pops of color, but I decided to keep this plain while I wore it.
Make sure to check out what the other ladies have created for their second NCC Black & White looks!

Golden Oldie Thursday: Skittles
Today I am back with another Golden Oldie Thursday post, and this week's theme is "Skittles"! I love the look of skittle manis, although I myself don't do them too often.
And here is my look!
Polishes Used:
-NYC - Fuchsia Shock Creme
-China Glaze - I'm Not Lion
-Maybelline - Bold Gold
Fuchsia Shock Creme was my favorite pink shade of all time before I got my hands on OPI Kiss Me On My Tulips. It is a similar shade. I decided to go with a gold glittery nail and then a pink and gold stamping nail. The funny thing about the stamping nail is that it is the bicycle image from Cheeky Jumbo plate 3 - European Romance, although my nail was sort of small, so it looks just like wheels. Hahah.
Overall I like this look and the color combination. Don't forget to check out what the other ladies did with their GOT Skittles!

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Summer - Week 4
Phew! I managed to sneak this post in at the last second! I am sooo ready for summer and unfortunately they are calling for a huge snowstorm this weekend. (BOO!)
For this look, I created a mani inspired by sailing / water themed, like a summer vacation.
Polishes Used:
-Essie - Coat Azure
-China Glaze - Too Yacht To Handle
-Konad - White
-Cheeky Jumbo Plate 2 - Tropical Holiday
I like how the white boats are showing up on the blue / green base here. I *tried* to do a cute accent nail with a single boat and dolphin but it ended up coming out a little wonky, pretty sure you wouldn't have even known it was a dolphin if I hadn't mentioned it. haha.
If you're longing for summer too, make sure you check out what the other ladies did for their 4th summer mani!

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Summer - Week 2
Happy Wednesday! Today I am back on track with my NCC posts! I had to miss last week with Valentine's Mani's; and I was really longing for summer (the cold and dreary weather has been getting me down)
So here is my second "Summer" look!
Polishes Used:
-OPI - Alpine Snow
-Lacquer by Lissa - Yinzer
-Konad - Yellow
-Cheeky Jumbo Plate 2 - Tropical Holiday
Unfortunately, I through I did a better job of clean up with the yellow than I did, but I couldn't see it IRL, only in the pictures. Also, you're stuck with my middle nub that I told you about yesterday.
This look was inspired by my summer activities in Pittsburgh. If you have been following my blog for a while you know one of my favorite summer activities is going to Pittsburgh Pirates baseball games. My husband and I have season tickets so we are always going to games. So for this look I did some bright yellow shades with a glittery accent nail. (For those who don't know, the Pittsburgh colors are black and yellow).
Speaking of Pittsburgh, Lacquer by Lissa is based out of Pittsburgh and Yinzer is definitely a hometown polish. (See wiki definition of a "Yinzer" here)
Don't forget to check out the other ladies fun summer manis!

Nail Art for Nubs Link-Up
First off, I want to say HAPPY 25th BIRTHDAY to my little sister! You saw a lovely post last week with a picture of my pretty little sister and I so everyone should wish Elizabeth a great day :)
I'm finally back with another Nail Art for Nubs Link-Up. I hadn't participated for a couple weeks but have been meaning to get back into the flow of it. Here is the look that I created for this week.
Polishes Used:
-GOSH - With a Twist
-OPI - My Vampire is Buff
-OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls
-Konad - Black
-Cheeky Jumbo Plate 1 - Viva Mexico
For this look, I started with a base of With a Twist, then I sponged on some random splotches of My Vampire is Buff and My Boyfriend Scales Walls. After letting that dry, I added the stamping using the special Konad Black polish and Viva Mexico plate from Cheeky.
I like this look because it was super simple to create but the design of the stamp gives it a really unique look. I only wish I was better at stamping straight because my stamping always seems to come out a little diagonally. I didn't add any topcoat to this look because I sort of liked the half shiny half dull look without topcoat.
Do you love this look? Hate it? Any suggestions for straighter stamping?
Make sure to check out what the other nubbinized ladies did this week.

Crumpet's Nail Tarts Christmas Winter Challenge - New Year's Eve
Happy Sunday! I can't believe the Crumpet's Nail Tart Christmas Winter Challenge has come to an end. Today is the last theme; New Year's Eve!
Although today is not New Year's Eve, this is always a fun theme to play around with. Here is my look!
Polishes Used:
-Orly - Androgynie
-Maybelline - Bold Gold
-Hard Candy - Matte-ly In Love
-Cheeky Jumbo Plate 6 - Happy Holidays
A lot of people end up wearing a Little Black Dress on NYE and gold glittery accents, and I feel that this champagne / bubbly look would be the perfect accent to compliment the LBD. I love how Androgynie looks mattified, the gold shimmers in the base with the translucent glitters really pop once matte.
This Challenge has been fun and although I didn't complete every theme (Toys & Christmas Food) I still enjoyed participating during the Holidays. Don't forget to check out what all the other ladies did for their NYE manis!

Crumpet's Nail Tarts Christmas Winter Challenge - Winter Characters
I hope everyone had a nice Christmas yesterday, for those who don't celebrate Christmas, I hope you had a nice Wednesday! Today's theme in the CNTCWC is "Winter Characters".
And here is my mani:
Polishes Used:
-Sally Hansen - Pacific Blue
-OPI - Alpine Snow
-Revlon - Radient
-Konad - White
-Cheeky Jumbo Plate 6 - Happy Holidays
I went with something super simple for this look, in blue and white. I think this mani is OK but I have to say I'm not in love with it, just sort of blah to me today.
Since I didn't post yesterday, here is a nice photo of my Christmas Day.
And don't forget to check out the other Winter Character looks that the ladies created!
