What I Wore: Christmas Eve Edition
I hope everyone is having a good weekend! Today I'll be sharing with you the nails that I wore on Christmas Eve.

Twinsie Tuesday: Odd Inspiration
This week the ladies of the Twinsie Tuesday group are creating looks based off the theme of Odd Inspiration. I had no idea what I was going to do for this look, so as I was sitting on my couch looking around my living room I saw this box of tissues and knew it was the perfect inspiration.
And here is the look that I came up with:

I didn't try to re-create the exact pattern but went with something "inspired by". I think that leaving it as an accent nail is fun too because the pattern doesn't become too overwhelming and gives the other colors a chance to shine as well.
I can't wait to see what the other ladies used to inspire their looks today!

Twinsie Tuesday: Interlocking Design
As you know, yesterday my husband had his birthday and we went to the amusement park; it was high 60's low 70's for the temp and cloudy; the park wasn't too crowded and hardly had to wait in any lines, with the exception of one 10 minute shower, it was great!
So onto the look; this week's theme is Interlocking Design. I took a little creative freedom with this one, I'm sure if it's technically "interlocking" but it's close enough! It was inspired by @lilmissnails_ on Instagram, who was inspired by @nailedthepolish.

I love how simple this look was to create, and the colors sort of remind of watermelons or something. I think it may sort of qualify for interlocking right? The only thing that I didn't like was that I ended up putting a matte topcoat on it; also I waited what felt like 20 minutes and it still smudged up when I applied it.
I can't wait to see what the other ladies have come up with!

KB Shimmer - Nail Vinyl Decals

Both of these style decals were really easy to use. I did the first look with a nude base the second with a polish base and you can see that both produced really crisp lines.
The instructions for use with these decals are very simple as well:
1) Apply nail polish and allow nails to dry. Wait longer then you think to assure no smudging occurs when vinyl decal is applied and removed. If desired, apply quick dry top coat to quicken dry time.
2) Peel away vinyl stencil from paper backing. Some designs may require ‘weeding’ (removal of excess components). Use a tweezers to help with small pieces.
3) Nail vinyl’s tend to be very sticky, apply to your hand first, remove, and apply to your hand one more time before placing on the nail. This allows your natural oils to reduce some of the strength of the adhesive.
4) Place stencil onto your nail in desired location and press firmly. Make sure all edges are firmly touching the nail on the nail so polish does not bleed under vinyl decal.
5) Apply a different color polish onto your nail and over the vinyl decal like a stencil.
6) While the polish is wet, remove the decal stencil. Wait no more then 15-20 seconds before removing, or the polish may pull up with the decal stencil.
7) Apply a clear top-coat to seal in the design.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Skittles - Week 1
The May theme for the ladies in the Nail Challenge Collaborative is SKITTLES. I don't wear skittles on a regular basis but it is fun when you're looking for something different every now and then!

When starting out with this look I didn't intend for it to become skittles, I was just going to have a nice simple cream mani. However, I then saw my chevron nail vinyl's, then I remembered the glitter polish that I purchased at 5below earlier in the year and the look turned into this.
My camera didn't want to capture the glitter in the first picture but hopefully you can see it in the rest of them. If not, I will be posting a video of this look on Instagram sometime today where you can see just how blingly it is!

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Untrieds - Week 3
Happy Sunday! Today I am back with my 3rd look for the NCC Untried month. I am sort of cheating today because I didn't use a nail polish, but I did have these Incoco Real Nail Polish Appliques in my untried box so here we are :)
Here I am using the design called Pretty Thing. I wore these decals for a couple days and got a lot of compliments. As you know I am a big fan of the Appliques because they are easy to apply and take no time to dry.
So sort of cheating but not? These appliques were untried, so I think it counts!

Golden Oldie Thursday: Chevron
Today I'm back with my middle nub and a Chevron mani for the Golden Oldie Thursday Challenge!
And here is my look!
Polishes Used:
-Sinful Colors - Slate
-Sinful Colors - Cream Pink
I've had these polishes for a while and hadn't used any Sinful in a couple of weeks so this was the perfect opportunity. I also used Nail Vinyls and the vinyls are the same color pink as this pink polish. Pink and gray used to be one of my favorite color combinations. I used to wear it a lot more so this was fun play around with. Unfortunately, this look also brings out how short my nubbin is :-( Can't wait for that to start growing and stop ripping!

What I Wore: Christmas Edition
Today I will be sharing with you the mani that I wore over the Christmas holidays when I was out of town visiting my in-laws. As you know I love to wear Incoco Nail Appliques when I go on trips so I don't have to worry about my mani chipping, and this trip was no different.
The pattern that I chose was Twill Weave from the Fall 2013 Collection. I picked this shade because it was a neutral but up close you could see all the detail, and I knew it would match with any outfits I took on my trip.
My 4 year old niece seems to love checking out what I have on my nails and she commented with approval on these as well! I also got my mother in law and sister in law each two packs of these nail appliques for Christmas because they've both commented on the appliques when I have worn them in the past.
Have you tried these appliques? If not you MUST, if you have, what's your favorite pattern?
