The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Halloween Month - Week 4

Happy Halloween! I knew today would be the perfect day to post my last Challenge mani for the NCC October theme of Halloween. For this mani, I re-created a look from a JauntyJuli tutorial. Halloween Cupcake Nails!

Onto the nails!

Polishes Used:
-Sinful Colors - Hazard
-Essence - Black is Back
-Wet 'n Wild - On A Trip
-Sation - Of Corset I'll Call You
-NYC - Love Letters
-Acrylic Paints

I tried to follow the tutorial but after I was done I realized some steps I didn't do it in order and forgot the scar on Frankenstein. hehe. It is still a super cute mani in my opinion.

I hope you all have a fun Halloween and don't get too much sugar overload (I'm hoping that we get a lot of trick or treaters so we don't have too much left over candy!)

Check out all the other lovely mani's created by the NCC ladies below!

Falling for Nail Art Challenge: Halloween

Halloween is getting close! I don't know if you celebrate or not, but we enjoy trick or treat night when we can see all the kids dressed up in Halloween costumes. Since Halloween is tomorrow that is when our neighborhood is doing trick or treat.

Today's theme in the Falling for Nail Art Challenge is, you guessed it, Halloween!

Polishes Used:
-Wet 'n Wild - Sunny Side Up
-Pahlish - Singing In The Garden
-Pahlish - Mind Like A Diamond
-MASH - Black
-Bundle Monster Plate - BM-H08
-Barielle - Topcoat

Seeing as this is almost the last Halloween themed mani of the year I decided to go traditional black and orange. I was going to do a sponged base with purple and green on top of the orange but when I sponged on the Pahlish, only the glitters transferred, and I really liked the look of the green and purple shimmer/glitter so I kept on going. Sort of a random, dirty, halloweeny look. Next I used one of my Holiday Plates from Bundle Monster to add the zombie arms and black cat.

Here's a closer look at the cat image (really liked it):

What do you think? Does this look nice and Halloween-ish to you? Make sure to check out what everyone else did for their Halloween looks!

Delush Polish - Swatches & Review!

I was so excited when Adrianna from Delush Polish contacted me to ask me to review a few of the polishes from her Slice of Life Collection! This is her Halloween collection and today I will be sharing with you three of the lovely shades.

I'm going to show you all the pictures and then provide my feedback. I am wearing two coats of each shade topped with Out The Door quick dry topcoat. Now onto the lovelies!

Born In Blood: It's a deep blood red jelly with various sized holographic red glitters! The perfect tribute to Dexter.

Time To Kill: It's a deep plum jelly with stunning pops of red, orange, copper and pink dots and glitters!

Master Of Disguise: It's a deep chocolate jelly with stunning orange and copper glitters!

My Thoughts: I really loved all of the polishes that I received from Delush Polish! They had really nice self leveling formulas and were jam packed with glitters, I mean, look at those macros! I also really loved the depth these jellies had; overall, I would recommend these shades to anyone looking for a fun glittery jelly!

You can find Delush Polish here:

Do you own any of Adrianna's polishes? Which ones? If not, do you think you'll be picking any up?

Nail Art For Nubs Link-Up

Happy Monday! Today I am taking a day off of work, a Staycation, so I'm happy!

I have decided to participate in a Link-Up with some other ladies from the BBC, Nail Art for Nubs. Leticia from Cosmetics Aficionado organized everything! Its a Link-Up with girls who have short nails and like to do nail art. Although some people may not consider my nails short because I have "longer nail beds" (so I hear) I still don't think I have long nails so I decided to participate!

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-OPI - Chic from Ears to Tail
-Konad - Black
-Sally Hansen - Celeb City
-Cheeky Jumbo Plate 2 - Tropical Holiday

I love doing stamping for nail art. There are full stamping images and small individual ones. I like the full nail images because if you have large or small nails they fit! For this look I started with the pink base, added the black stamping and used the silver dots to give it an extra little pop! I got a ton of compliments when I wore this look and I'm sure you would too!

What do you think? Do you have little nails? Would you be interested in recreating this look?

This is a recurring link-up so keep an eye out for more Monday's with Nail Art for Nubs!

Falling for Nail Art Challenge: Other Realm

Today's theme in the Falling for Nail Art Challenge is "Other Realm". I had a mani in my mind for this and it pretty much came out just how I had hoped (don't you just love that?!).

Here is the challenge list as a refresher:

And here is my mani:

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-OPI - Alpine Snow
-Essence - Black is Back
-Konad - White
-Konad - Black
-BPS - Glow In The Dark polish

These other realm ghosts are just too cute for me; hehe. With the exception of the spider mani I posted last Sunday, I don't really like creepy / gross things, I like more of a cutesy Halloween scare. lol. Anyway, I knew I wanted to do something glowing and unfortunately I am horrible at capturing the glow but it looked awesome in person, trust me!

What do you think of this look? Are you loving the cute little ghosts?

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Halloween Month - Week 3

TGIF!!!

Are you getting excited for Halloween? I am not super excited but I don't mind all the candy that is around these days; hehe.

For the 3rd mani in the Nail Challenge Collaborative Halloween theme, I decided to do something inspired by pumpkins.

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-Sinful Colors - Hazard
-Gelous
-Out The Door

I really like this look. It doesn't scream Halloween but it is inspired by fall/Halloween colors and items. The day that I wore these nails to work I ended up going to our old corporate headquarters and got to see some people that I work with daily but not face to face and they all seemed to like my nails :) Love when I go places that I am not normally located at and new and different people can get excited. Also fun to learn that some of your colleagues are polish lovers themselves!

Don't forget to check out what the other ladies in the NCC are doing for their 3rd Halloween manis!
