I hope that everyone who celebrates Christmas had a nice day yesterday. Today, hubby and I are going to his aunts house to celebrate the holidays with some of his mom's side of the family. My in-laws live 4 1/2 hours away so it's nice to see them when we can :)
For my final Dots look in December I have decided to do a lace and flower look that I saw on @newlypolished on Instagram; they even had a super easy tutorial for me to follow!
I used a bunch of different polishes for this look, including Essie Plumberry, Rica Whiteout, Zoya Hunter, Seche Conquer the World and two OPI minis (which as you know don't have the names printed on them) and topped it off with Fresh Paint Matte Topcoat.
I love how this came out, the white dots, the red dots, the pink dots for the flowers, etc. I did get a little crazy with the number of flowers, but you'll have that :-P
What do you think of this look? Be sure to check out how the other ladies are wrapping up their December dots looks below.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Dots - Look 3
I'm a roll this week with my Dots posts, and today I'm showing you my 3rd look.
Polishes Used:
-Rica - Whiteout
-Zoya - Livingston
-Seche - Versatile
This look was super simple to create; I started off with my natural nails, and added random white, green and pink dots. (I mixed Livingston & Whiteout together for the pink) At first I was going to go with red, green and white for a Christmasy look but decided to switch it up with the pink (and I love how random the pink is - some dots look darker and some lighter).
Looking forward to see what the other ladies have come up with for their 3rd Dots looks:

Twinsie Tuesday: Neutral Nails
Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is Neutral. This was an easy theme for me considering the fact that I wear either Neutral polish or nothing to work everyday.
Polishes Used:
-OPI - Don't Pretzel My Buttons
-Rica - Whiteout
For this look I went with something super simple. A neutral base with some white dotted accent nails. The is was a nice simple look but with a little something extra in my opinion. More fun than just wearing a plain neutral shade.
Check out how the other Twinsies are rocking their neutral nails:

Guest Tutorial at AGirl'sGottaSpa!
Happy Saturday! Earlier this week I created a simple floral nail art tutorial for Shannon over at AGirl'sGottaSpa!
Check it out below:
I created this for anyone who wants something simple, fun and easy to create. It was inspired off of my forth tea party look, which you can see HERE.
Let me know if you create a look based on this tutorial and be sure to check out AGirl'sGottaSpa! for step by step instructions and to find out what polishes I used to create this look!

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Tea Party - Look 4
I'm back today with my 4th and final August Tea Party look for the Nail Challenge Collaborative, and I am totally in love with this look!
Polishes Used:
-Morgan Taylor - Ahead of the Game
-Morgan Taylor - New Kicks on the Block
-Morgan Taylor - Funny Business
-Morgan Taylor - Mint Chocolate Chip
-Precision Nail Lacquer - Grape Devine
-Seche - Versatile
-Rica - Whiteout
-Hard Candy - Matte-ly in Love
I love this look! I feel like I finished strong this month. The color seem is cheery and the white dots on the yellow feels very country chic for a tea party. The purple flowers sort of remind me of lilac flowers that may be out at a tea party.

Twinsie Tuesday: Interlocking Design
As you know, yesterday my husband had his birthday and we went to the amusement park; it was high 60's low 70's for the temp and cloudy; the park wasn't too crowded and hardly had to wait in any lines, with the exception of one 10 minute shower, it was great!
So onto the look; this week's theme is Interlocking Design. I took a little creative freedom with this one, I'm sure if it's technically "interlocking" but it's close enough! It was inspired by @lilmissnails_ on Instagram, who was inspired by @nailedthepolish.
Polished Used:
-Seche - Keep It You
-Seche - Conquer The World
-Hard Candy - Matte-ly In Love
I love how simple this look was to create, and the colors sort of remind of watermelons or something. I think it may sort of qualify for interlocking right? The only thing that I didn't like was that I ended up putting a matte topcoat on it; also I waited what felt like 20 minutes and it still smudged up when I applied it.
I can't wait to see what the other ladies have come up with!

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Recreate Your First 4 Mani's - Look 4
I'm here with my final re-creation of the month; I really enjoyed re-creating these looks so maybe I will get a fifth one in, who knows.
So my next original look was polka dots; I just so happened to use the same color scheme as my last re-creation look so I did decide to switch the colors this week.
The original had a mint base with white dots so I switched it up to blue and yellow. The blue is China Glaze Electric Beat and the yellow is Rica Mellow Yellow. Dots are super simple to create and there are so many color combinations to try.
Here's the comparison:
What do you think? My skills have improved and I like seeing these side by side comparisons. Let's check out what the other ladies did!

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Recreate Your First 4 Mani's - Look 3
TGIF!!! So glad that it's almost the weekend :) Also, I'm doing a good job and getting these NCC looks completed; so fun re-creating looks you liked and looks you didn't like so much. Today I'm re-creating my third look, one that I loved the first time and still think is a nice simple look now too.
Polishes Used:
-Essie - Absolutely Shore
-Rica - Whiteout
-Essie - Your Hut or Mine
For this look I did use a different base than what I did in the original. This one is a bit lighter which I was feeling since it's the summer time.
As I mentioned before I loved the look then and still think its super cute and very easy, anyone can create.
On a side note I am trying out a new round nail shape after Sarah from Chalkboard Nails told me to just go for it, they'll grow out after all. LOL. I really like them so I'm glad that I went for it.
Let's take a look at the ladies re-creations!

Golden Oldie Thursday: Dots
Another Golden Oldie Thursday! I am liking this challenge because it's forcing me to go through my stash and find new polishes that either need more love or need a new home. Today's oldie, Petites - Aubergine, just needs some more love.
Today's theme is DOTS; and I have to admit that I have been loving polka dotted mani's lately so this was perfect.
Polishes Used:
-Petites - Aubergine
-OPI - My Vampire is Buff
-Out The Door
I may have cheated a bit with this look since my bottle of My Vampire is Buff isn't a year old, but I think it's OK because I have made up for it with the pretty base of Aubergine. I have owned Aubergine since I was in college, so definitely fits all the rules. This mani has a different source of look because I am mixing finishes, I think generally speaking, I prefer and enjoy to create mani's in colors of the same finishes. This also sort of reminds me of Minny Mouse's dress!
Don't forget to see how the other ladies incorporated their oldie polishes into pretty dotted manis!

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Favorite Color Month - Week 3
It's almost Thanksgiving! Are you so excited? I am looking forward to the mini-break from work. Today I am back at you with my third installment of the Favorite Color theme in the Nail Challenge Collaborative.
Here is my third look:
Polishes Used:
-Barielle - Plum Rose Red
-Zoya - Godiva
I went with something simple for this look, a plain red base with nude textured dotting pattern. Everytime that I think I will try using dotting tools for something cool, it doesn't exactly turn out as planned, but this isn't that bad, it's nice a simple and different.
What are your thoughts? Don't forget to check out what the other ladies did for their 3rd Favorite Color look.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Flowers - Week 1
Hope that everyone in the states had a nice Independence Day! Today I am showing you my first July NCC post. This week's theme is flowers. I voted for flowers because I see so many awesome flower mani's on Pinterest, Instagram, other blogs that I want to try that this month should be perfect ;)
This week I decided to do a floral design, it turned out looking completely different on the nail than it did it my head, but I like it, it's sort of abstract.
Polishes Used:
-China Glaze - Sun of Peach
-Sinful Colors - Be my Valentine
-Sinful Colors - Sunny Day
-Kiss - Beach Pink
-Essence - Black is Back
-Sally Hansen - White On
-Poshe
Can you see the flowers in this? Sort of abstract close ups?? lol. This was a really easy design, where I just sort of "swirled" the reds and pinks over the peach base and then added the black and white for the stamen (middle of the flower).
Are you ready to see any more flower manis? Make sure to check out what the other lovely ladies did for their first flower manis!!

Summer Mani Challenge - Summer Floral
Keeping up with the Summer Mani Challenge, this week's theme is Summer Floral. I was really looking forward to this theme because I generally like doing floral mani's. However, since I ran out of time before I left on my business trip out of the country, my mani isn't exactly what I had hoped. lol.
Polishes Used:
-Glitter Me This - Can I Walk You Home?
-Essence - Black is Back
-Konad - Yellow
-Konad - Pink
-Northern Lights
I received the GMT polish recently as part of a giveaway, I will be doing a review of the entire collection that I got shortly but I wanted to try them out, so I decided to use Can I Walk You Home as a base. It wasn't very summery, but why not just add some dark flowers to it to make it even less summery (sarcasm). And since it already looks like this, pink dots can't hurt right?
haha - so everyone has a nail fail now and then when you're in a hurry. I really hope that once things slow down for me in July (my summer travel will be over) that I will be able to try out a couple really neat designs I have been seeing lately.
Even though my mani was lame, I saw some other pretty ones from the ladies! Make sure to check them out.
