The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Geometric - Look 2

Last week I saw THIS look by @hookedondal on Instagram and immediately knew that I had to re-create it for the Nail Challenge Collaborative. (P.S. if you don't follow Dallas on IG already, you should!) There is a simple edginess and geometric feel to this which I loved.

I started with natural nails, used some straight nail decals and applied the grey polish; topped it all off with topcoat and voila! I am completely obsessed with how this turned out; and am still loving the negative space mani trend.

Golden Oldie Thursday: Chevron

Today I'm back with my middle nub and a Chevron mani for the Golden Oldie Thursday Challenge!

And here is my look!

Polishes Used:
-Sinful Colors - Slate
-Sinful Colors - Cream Pink

I've had these polishes for a while and hadn't used any Sinful in a couple of weeks so this was the perfect opportunity. I also used Nail Vinyls and the vinyls are the same color pink as this pink polish. Pink and gray used to be one of my favorite color combinations. I used to wear it a lot more so this was fun play around with. Unfortunately, this look also brings out how short my nubbin is :-( Can't wait for that to start growing and stop ripping!

Pahlish - Coney Island Queen Collection - Part 2

Happy Wednesday!

Today I am back with Part 2 of the Pahlish Coney Island Queen Collection. I will be sharing with you the two neutrals of the collection, "Coney Island Queen" and "Mind Like A Diamond".

First Up, the namesake of the collection, Coney Island Queen:

Shannon from Pahlish describes this polish as a "creamy nude base with two sizes of rich metallic gold microflakes" . This is a great nude if you are looking for something work appropriate but want a little something extra instead of a plain nude. I have on two coats of this polish topped with Gelous and No Time.

Next up we have Mind Like A Diamond:

Shannon describes this polish as a "creamy greige base with shimmering charcoal and taupe microflakes". This is a really unique gray polish and I love that it has such dimension; it even has pink and blue and gold shimmers which were a pleasant surprise. This is definitely one of my favorite polishes from the collection. I have on two coats of color topped with Gelous and No Time.

Liquid Lacquer - Dazed and Confused

Sneaky Melissa created a BONUS shade as part of her Physical Graffiti Collection, Dazed and Confused and was available in the last restock. I was lucky enough to snag one up before they were all sold out so that I would have the COMPLETE collection.

Dazed and Confused is a gray polish with a holographic shimmer.

I have three coats of this lovely shade on in the pictures, also, unlike with my previous Physical Graffiti swatches, I did add a topcoat to this one which sort of dulled the holo effect; but I was planning on wearing this to work and needed it to dry fast and stay on. 

I loved all the polishes in this collection and can't wait to see what Melissa comes up with next.

Sation - Feliz Navi-Doll

Over the weekend I picked up my second Sation polish at TJ Maxx. I really like these polishes and wish they were more readily available at other locations, but for now, I am just going to keep stocking up on them at TJ Maxx and Marshalls.

Isn't this is a lovely polish? It is just so gentle! I have on two coats in the photos. Three coats would look lovely as well, but I didn't feel like putting too many coats on, when this looks so pretty on it's own.

Liquid Lacquer - Sexy Secretary

*Edit* In my original post below I mention that the glitters are red but look orange in the pictures, but Melissa informed me that they actually ARE orange glitters :) So pretty

Happy Monday, not! Today is one of the "normal" Monday's where I have to go into work, so yeah, that's not fun. Oh well.

Today I am wearing Sexy Secretary from Liquid Lacquer. Her polishes are now all limited editions and Melissa is only making 30 of each of her upcoming polishes. I have bottle 11 of 30, and this polish is currently available in her store.

For these pictures I have on three coats of SS. It is a lovely grey crelly base with red glitters, unfortunately, my photos are giving the glitters a bit of an orange tint. I really love this polish, I would almost consider it a neutral and can definitely be work in a professional setting, hence Sexy Secretary.

Ulta - Broken and Blue

Hello Lovelies!

Today I am showing you one of my un-trieds, Ulta Broken and Blue.This is a really pretty shade and I am slightly disappointed that I haven't used this before today.

This polish is jam packed full of glitters. I put slate on under this polish but didn't need to. The glitter itself was completely opaque in 2 coats. This is a perfect polish for the holidays; it is dark, but shimmery and glittery as well. Just a very lovely simple polish that everyone should have :)

Liquid Lacquer - Flaming Flamingo

So many polishes to try; not too bad of a problem to have :)

Today I am wearing Flaming Flamingo. This glitter is hot pink shimmer with translucent hex'. This is a really pretty color and I have chosen to soften this one up a bit.

By wearing this lovely polish over a gray base, I toned it down a bit, but this would also look AMAZING over a bright pink. I think I will definitely be trying that before I put these polishes away. (They are all just sitting out on my table so I can look at their glittery goodness, lol)

Sinful Colors - Lavender

I can't believe it is already November!!!

Today I decided to try out one of my untried's. I still have a handful of untried Sinful's from the last time I picked up a bunch during their Walgreen's sale.

Sinful Colors Lavender is a really pretty grey/blue/purple lavender creme polish that is completely opaque in two thin coats.

Isn't this lovely? I wish that I would have worn this polish sooner, and I may even turn this into an upcycled mani seeing as I don't even want to take this off.
