Morgan Taylor: Casual Cool Collection - Spring 2014

I recently received the Morgan Taylor Casual Cool Collection.

This collection is a limited edition of six rad polishes inspired by the athletic wear, vivid pastels and bright hues that ruled the school in the 1990's. Morgan Taylor's Spring Collection is a fresh, wearable and undeniably cool take on 90's fashion.

All polishes are shown with two coats of color and topcoat

New School New: Fresh, sheer nude

Ahead of the Game: Trendy, soft pastel yellow shimmer

Varsity Jacket Blues: Cool, bright medium blue

New Kicks on the Block: Stylish pastel purple pink

Oh Snap, It's Silver!: Sassy, multi-dimensional silver metallic

Get Sporty with It: Vibrant coral red crème

Overall, I think that all of these polishes are perfect for spring, they are all right on trend, and it appears that New Kicks on the Block is Morgan Taylor's answer to the Pantone Radiant Orchid shade!

My favorites from the collection are obviously Ahead of the Game, since it's the perfect pearly creamy yellow, and Varsity Jacket Blues, because it's just such a pretty blue.

Milani - Cyberspace

Today I am sharing with you the final polish that I borrowed from Brigitte. Milani Cyberspace. I was really on a holographic polish kick when I borrowed the polishes from her and it's great to have a friend and fellow blogger as a neighbor.

Polishes Used:

-Milani - Cyberspace
-Out The Door

This is a really pretty shade, with a light silver base and holographic glitters. This is two coats of color; and you can still see a VNL. It would look awesome over a silver base or perhaps in three coats as well.

What I Wore - Thanksgiving Edition with Incoco Real Nail Polish Appliques

Back to work for some of us today who had off for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Since I was away during the  holiday I wasn't sure if I would have time or access to do my nails at my in-laws so I decided to use Incoco Real Nail Polish Appliques. I wanted to wear a shade that would be good with any outfit and for any occasion so I obviously chose glitter!

The design I chose was Vanishing Act:

This is a lovely gold to silver glitter gradient shade. Since I saw a ton of people over the holidays I also happened to get a ton of compliments. I really loved wearing these nail polish appliques because there wasn't really any chipping and they matched with every outfit that I wore on the trip.

And just for fun; here is a silly shot of my husband and I  (and my sister-in law and cousin-in law too) Apparently Rob was the only one NOT ready for the picture lol.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Around The World - Week 3

TGIF!!! I am so glad it's Friday! One of my co-workers took a new job and this was our first week without her so it was a bit busier than usual. Oh well though, I would MUCH rather be super busy than bored.

This it the 3rd week for the Around The World theme in August NCC. For this mani I decided to do something Mexican inspired, with Sugar Skull Decals!

Polishes Used:

-OPI - (the label came off so I'm not sure... )
-Out The Door

I have had these Sugar Skull decals since at least February and now I am finally getting around to using them! They worked like standard water decals and had easy application. I had a little bit of wrinkles but not really anything that you can tell once I added the topcoat!

Does this look Mexican at all to you? I know the pink and silver are a little girlie, but its girlie Mexican Sugar Skulls lol.

Sally Hansen - Celeb City

I felt like wearing something simple but flashy today, so I went with Sally Hansen - Celeb City.

I have two coats of CC on in these photos. This is a fun polish that is completely opaque in two coats. I have tried stamping with this polish but unfortunately its not opaque enough on it's own to stamp with, but its a great polish to use in other nail art and wear alone like this.

Let It Snow! Challenge - Icicles

Hope all my lovlies are having a good weekend so far :) Yesterday I took some time off of work to go shopping with my sister for her birthday, she's turning 24 so that's exciting and tomorrow we are going to meet her and my family out for Mexican.

Anyway, this week's theme is Icicles. Also, we are halfway through the Let It Snow! Challenge. Exciting! I didn't really want to do a literal interpretation of Icicles so I used colors (and I guess a technique too) that reminded me of them instead.

-NYC - Matte Me Crazy

My poor little bottle of YBTM is almost empty so I will need to grab another one next time I am at Ulta. Since the bottles are on the smaller size and I am always in love with this color, it actually may be the first time that I am buying a second bottle of the same color. :) 

Anyway I thought that the light teal with silver and BIMP was very shimmery / glittery / icicle-ish. I used my favorite "striped gradient" technique which also sort of reminds me of icicles anyway with the smooth but jagged edges.

Hey dolls! 

I'm Karine from Karine's Vernis Club and it is my absolute pleasure to talk to you today. I discovered Stephanie's blog during the Lazy Days Of Summer challenge and we got to chat and bond. I like her nail art skills, it is very unique like this beach themed one, one of my favorite! Today's post is holidays themed and I could not be happier. I love to help my mom finding a gift for my dad and vice versa, I most of the time get the gitfs, wrap them, decorate the trees. I usually go for the red and gold combo but I'm really into blue lately so I decided that it would be my base for this manicure.

The base is 2 coats of OPI Fly, a turquoise creme then I did half moons with OPI Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous. I finished the look with silver dots. Thank you for reading and have a great holiday!

Avon Suede Nail Enamel - Platinum Beauty

Last week I ordered the Avon Suede Nail Enamel collection and yesterday it arrived. I was excited to try out these 6 polishes; so I started right away. Today I am wearing Platinum Beauty.

I didn't actually wear a base coat or top coat in these pictures because I wasn't sure what a topcoat would do to the suede effect of the polish. I really like this color a lot and although there were some visible brush strokes, they were minimal. I can't wait to try out the rest of these polishes and show them to you all.
