Twinsie Tuesday: Nails Inspired by Beverage/Food

Welcome newest Twinsie Lisa! Lisa and I are in other challenge groups together so I'm looking forward to having her in the Twinsies!

This week's theme is Nails Inspired by Beverage/Food. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to create for this look, but then I remembered these cute Nail Art Stickers that I had received from Born Pretty Store.

-Liquid Lacquer - Pink Lemonade

Ice Cream is one of my favorite summertime treats; just ask my husband, I'm begging him to take me for ice cream almost everyday lol. Since I am not sure great with my freehand painting skills these stickers were perfect. Also, I sort of touched on the beverage part of the theme as well since the glitter topper is called "Pink Lemonade".

A little more about these Nail Art Stickers. There are numerous designs on the sticker sheet which can lead to multiple types of manicures from just one sheet. The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Favorite Color Month - Week 4

I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving! Either you are still stuffed from yesterday or you're working off the calories by Black Friday shopping; sound familiar?

Here is my fourth and final look for this months Nail Challenge Collaborative theme:

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Mrs. O'Leary's BBQ
-Essence - Rebel Delight
-Liquid Lacquer - Penny Jar

I had something along the lines of my ring finger in my mind for a while for this theme but once I did that nail, and then my middle finger, I decided it would be neat for each to be different. Of course, I added the glittery pinky nail accent for a little fun. This sort of reminds me of a tribal, woven design.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Halloween Month - Week 2

TGIF! I am back in action with my second Halloween Mani as part of the October Nail Challenge Collaborative. I am much happier with today's look than the first one I did for the challenge and I even decided to add a little festive shapes into my photos lol.

-Out The Door

For this lok I decided to do one my favorite drip / tie die / striped gradient looks and was inspired by the colors in candy corn. I know this isn't the color order that candy corn comes in but since I used jelly shades for the yellow and orange, I had to go lightest to darkest. It also sort of reminds me of a toucan. LOL

What do you think? Halloween or Toucan? lol. Either way, I am overall pleased with this look :)

Liquid Lacquer - Foamy & a Mystery Polish

Today I have two lovely shades from Liquid Lacquer to share with you. I was able to pick these up through I Facebook group that I am in and when I purchase Foamy, the mystery polish came with it! So awesome!

Foamy:

I am so in love with this shade! It is a really unique blue / teal color with a super light holo / shimmer effect. I am wearing two coats topped with Out The Door. It applied really smooth with no streaks at all.

Mystery Polish:

 

 

This is the mystery shade that I received. It also has a light holo and shimmer effect to it and is a really unique blurple shade. I am wearing two coats with no top coat. This evened out perfectly in two coats and is so pretty. I had trouble deciding which was my favorite.

Liquid Lacquer - August Swatchathon Part 3

Wow, this week has been jam packed with swatches and reviews of new and upcoming polish collections; I have you're enjoying seeing them as much as I am enjoying wearing them!

Today I will be showing you 6, yes 6, MORE new polishes from Liquid Lacquer!

First up, we have the trio of Foolish Games, Pugsly, and Wednesday:

Foolish Games:

Melissa describes this shade as, "A 2 coat dusty pink creme". I am wearing two coats here topped with Out The Door. This is a really pretty shade and I love the dustiness of the pink; I actually don't think that I have anything like it in my collection and this it's pretty neat that shes coming up with new original colors all the time!

Pugsly:

Melissa describes this shade as, "A one coat milk chocolate brown creme". I am actually wearing two coats here because I can't even just leave it at one (I feel naked) but let me assure you, it was opaque in one coat as the description implies. I will be interested to try this polish out for stamping since its a nice rich opaque shade.

Wednesday:

Melissa describes this shade as, "A 2 coat black creme". Although she says it's a 2 coater, I found this to be pretty much opaque in one coat, (even though you know I am wearing two here, lol). This is a nice black creme that I know I will be using in a lot of nail art moving forward! 

(Please note that I grouped these polishes into Trio's however, they are all sold separately)

The next three shades are, Sugar Overload, Penny Jar, and Couch Coins:

Sugar Overload:

Melissa describes this shade as, "Glitter bomb with neon pink,light pink, light purple, and purple glitter in a clear base". As you can see, I am wearing one coat of Sugar Overload over Foolish Games. This is a lovely combination together but SO would also look great over numerous other colors, so make sure to keep an eye out for its reappearance in future manis :)

Penny Jar:

Melissa describes this shade as, "A glitter bomb packed with all gold circles and hexis in various sizes with copper hexis in various sizes." I really love this glitter topper! I mean, look at that MACRO! I am wearing one coat of Penny Jar over top of Pugsly. 

Couch Coins:

Melissa describes this shade as, "A mix of silver and gunmetal glitter in various sizes including circles and hexis." My poor camera didn't want anything to do with focusing on this shade, but it is very pretty! I got tons of glitters in each swipe of polish and I am wearing one coat here over top of Wednesday.

Liquid Lacquer - August Swatchathon Part 2

Hope you all enjoyed Monday's post; today I have 4 other pretty polishes to share with you!

Just Blue Myself, Underneath Your Clothes, Firestarter and Thunder... Down Under.

Just Blue Myself:

Melissa describes this shade as, "Medium blue linear holo". I am wearing two coats of JBM and I am wearing a topcoat which may have dulled the holo effect a little. This shade is super gorgeous outside in the bright sun!

Underneath Your Clothes:

Melissa describes this shade as, "This is a true beauty. A light taupe linear holo with a blue flash. If you like nude nails, this is a great choice. The blue flash give it an edgy, duo chrome quality".  Well, I am dead, this polish is AMAZING. I am wearing two coats topped with Out The Door. Everyone seriously needs this polish and I have already worn it to work everyday since I received it. LOL. 

Firestarter: 

Melissa describes this shade as, "A deep purple jelly with bronze micro flakes". I am wearing two coats of polish topped with Out The Door. This is a lovely shade and could be worn even as a topper over a white or purple base!

Thunder...Down Under:

Melissa describes this shade as, "A dusty turquoise jelly with black holo hexis and black micro glitter". I am wearing two coats topped with Out The Door. This is a really fun unique shade and I have nothing at all like it in my collection; this will be perfect for the upcoming fall and winter seasons!
