Summer Mani Challenge - Neon French

Happy Saturday!

Today I have Week 5 of the Summer Mani Challenge - this week's theme is Neon French. Since it is summer there have been a lot of neon mani's floating around the nail community and I love them all, but they are a bitch to capture color.

Anyway, here is my neon french mani:

Polishes Used:
-Essence - Rebel Delight
-MASH - Strawberry
-Zoya - Tobey
-Poshe Topcoat

So they aren't exactly "french tips" but close enough, and you get the idea. I love this mani and since I used the Strawberry shade from the MASH scented neon set, they even smell good too. I love doing tape mani's like this because you get such nice clean lines.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Flowers - Week 1

Hope that everyone in the states had a nice Independence Day! Today I am showing you my first July NCC post. This week's theme is flowers. I voted for flowers because I see so many awesome flower mani's on Pinterest, Instagram, other blogs that I want to try that this month should be perfect ;)

This week I decided to do a floral design, it turned out looking completely different on the nail than it did it my head, but I like it, it's sort of abstract.

-Kiss - Beach Pink
-Essence - Black is Back

Can you see the flowers in this? Sort of abstract close ups?? lol. This was a really easy design, where I just sort of "swirled" the reds and pinks over the peach base and then added the black and white for the stamen  (middle of the flower).

Happy 4th of July / Summer Mani Challenge!

Happy 4th of July (Independence Day) to all of my US readers :) I like patriotic holidays and there are so many combinations of Red, White and Blue that you can do.

So anyway, I recently ordered the Bundle Monster Holiday Plate Set and they arrived in perfect time to create my 4th of July mani :)

-Poshe Topcoat
-BM-H25

I love this flag design and I just used both the blue and red polish to the image before stamping. I love the look of stamping with red but I hate the clean up :-/ I didn't want to be too flashy though, so I have the accent with some Red, White (Silver), and Blue glequins. I have been wearing this mani since Tuesday and got tons of compliments on it at work.

China Glaze - Neon & On & On

Happy Tuesday!!!

For my birthday, my good friend Brigitte, of Color Me So Crazy, bought my the China Glaze Sunsational Cremes which I had been crushing on! She's the best. Anyway, today I will show you Neon & On & On.

Polishes Used:

-China Glaze - Neon & On & On

I have on two coats of Neon & On & On in the pictures, it is a lovely pink/coral pastel neon, which of course my camera didn't want anything to do capturing the true tone of it. But take my word for it, it is lovely. You may have heard that this collection is sort of streaky, well truth be told it is, however all the shades that I have worn thusfar have been evened out in 2-3 coats with topcoat, which is what I would normally wear anyway.

Overall I love this shade and can't want to go continue to use this collection during the summer for some fun summer manis :)

Dior - Pink Kimono

I'm back in action today! 

While I was out of town over the weekend, I got a couple birthday packages in the mail. One very special package was my VERY FIRST DIOR polish from my good friend Melissa! She picked a color that she thought would be very me and boy was she dead on! I probably would have picked this exact same color!

So here we have, DIOR Pink Kimono:

I used two coats of Pink Kimono for this mani and the application and coverage was flawless. I still can't say how much I really appreciated this gift as it is something I would never splurge on for myself. Thank you so much Melissa <3

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Neons - Week 2

Sorry for my late post of neons this week. I was out town last Saturday, and I will actually be on vacation next Saturday as well! June is an extremely busy month for me.

Anyway, here we go:

I really love this mani! It is just sort of a random neon brushstroke pattern. I don't normally wear bright mani's to work, but I loved this so much I just didn't feel like taking it off!

Once again I couldn't capture the true colors with my normal camera, so here are two iphone pics. It's annoying that one will capture the true color of the neon while the other captures the true color of skin, I look like I have zombie skin in the following picture. lol.

Today is my 4th Wedding Anniversary for my husband and I! It's been wonderful.

I did this mani last week and thought it would special for my anniversary post. I have seen this pink french gradient look all over pinterest and wanted to try it out myself (not sure who originally created it, but if you know, lmk so I can give them credit!)

I had acrylics on for my wedding and although sometimes I want them back, I don't think I could go back to wearing them. I love the look of this mani and is a fun alternative to acrylics or a traditional pink and white french mani.

Joyful Noise Cosmetics - Rainbow Fish, Whisper Down Delainie & Garden Party

Today I have three glitter toppers from Joyful Noise Cosmetics to share with you; Rainbow Fish, Whisper Down Delainie & Garden Party.

First up, Rainbow Fish:

Laura describes this shade as "Rainbow Fish is one of my new favorites- a color explosion of satin matte hex glitters swimming in a fine holographic shimmer base! Named after a favorite children's book of mine (at least, that's what I called it when I was a kid!) you can't miss this beauty! At any event, wear this and you are sure to shine!!"

This is really a lovely topper to any color polish, I wore it over Almost Famous, topped with Hard Candy Matte-ly In Love, but it would also looks awesome over white, black, any primary or secondary color and you have an awesome combo. I love the look of glitter toppers mattified. 

Next up we have Whisper Down Delainie:

Laura describes this topper as "An array of pink, teal, and green holographic glitters in small and medium sizes, it is named for Miss Delainie of Dee's Polish www.deespolish.com/ Delainie donated to my Indiegogo Campaign back in January, and chose the "Name a Product After Me" perk! I have to tell you, I'm pretty tickled with this name!!"

I am wearing one coat of WDD over Wet 'n Wild  Through The Grapevine, topped with Poshe. I love all the colored glitters in this polish and think it's very fun that Delanie got to name this polish. I was able to snag all of these polishes from Joyful Noise Cosmetics during Laura's Indiegogo campaign as well!

Last but not least, we have Garden Party:

Laura describes Garden Party as "Fine neon green, and square neon pink glitters, punctuated with black holographic hexes!"

I am wearing one coat of Garden Party over Revlon Emerald and topped with Poshe. Neon glitters are very on trend right now and I can't seem to get enough. I used this over a darker polish but it would also look good over a lighter green, such as my go to Sally Hansen - Parrot.
