The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents: Spring Flowers - Look 2
TGIF! I love Fridays, and this one is all that much better because it's right before a long weekend with Memorial Day! Woohoo!
Polishes Used:
-China Glaze - Shore Enuff
-China Glaze - Glow with the Flow
-China Glaze - X-ta-sea
-Cheeky Jumbo Plate 2 - Tropical Holiday
I loved these nails!! These feel so summery and tropical, which usually isn't a vibe that I go with my nails, but I just felt like I was ready for a beach vacation with these or something! Also, I don't normally do too many gradients because they aren't my strong suit, but I love how this one turned out! What I loved even more is that I did these on natural nails (as opposed to a white base) and the colors came out much better than I was expecting. Love it.
Let's see how the other girls are rocking their spring flowers!

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents: Spring Flowers - Look 1
I may be getting a bit of a late start this month, but I am really looking forward to this floral theme so stay tuned to what I have in store. For my first look I decided to go with a satin stamping look!
Polishes Used:
-Zoya -Veruschka
-Color Club - Kismet
-Bundle Monster Stamping Plate - BM-618
OK, so I am not sure that this is actually very "springy" but it is floral and these were the colors that I was feeling like using! I love how subtle this is and the feel of it on the satin finish polish is so classy and smooth.
I was also curious to see how this would look shiny, and I am so glad I took the original satin finish photos because I don't really like how it looked shiny. It looked a bit of a shiny/holo mess, lol.
Let's see what the other ladies put together for their first spring flower manis!

The Digit-al Dozen Does: Nature - Look 3
I think that everyone this week was concerned with not doing a week of florals, myself included. However, today is going to be the obligatory floral mani for Nature week. lol.
I went really simple with this look, a white background, with a gold flake topper and the black flower pattern. It also sort of reminds me of a topographical pattern for some reason as well. I love classic black and white looks, so this one was right up my ally.
I wonder how many of the other ladies decided to rock a floral mani today? Check them out below :)

The Digit-al Dozen Does: Nature - Look 1
Happy Monday! We are back with another week of The Digit-al Dozen and this month's theme is Nature! This theme should be interesting, I have some looks I love and some that I may try to re-do before the end of the week, so let's jump right in.
For my first look I decided to go all in with a green and leafy mani. This one was sort of inspired by the colors in the Nature Digit-al Dozen banner. This look is also perfect for March since it's green, it goes along perfectly with St. Patrick's Day too!
Let's see how the other ladies are kicking off Nature week :)

The Digit-al Dozen Does: Patterns on Patterns - Look 5
Whoohoo; It's Friday! For my final Patterns on Patterns look I decided to do something pink and pink and white since tomorrow is Valentine's Day.
Polishes Used:
-NOPI - Be AMA-zing!
-Konad - Pink
-Konad - White
-Stamping Plate - Cheeky Jumbo Plate 8
This is another one of those looks that I wish I would have taken a picture of the first pattern alone before adding the second stamp because you can hardly see the pink on pink stamp. In case you can't tell, I used the same stamping image on the bottom and the top, but just rotated it so the flowery pattern was on different parts of the nail in the different colors.
I really enjoyed this theme, although I know some of the other ladies weren't loving it. Be sure to check out how everyone else wrapped up this Pattern on Pattern week!

The Digit-al Dozen Does: Patterns on Patterns - Look 4
For my fourth look I went a little "wild" with a Zebra and floral print. Let's get started:
Polishes Used:
-Zoya - Sailor
-China Glaze - Too Yacht to Handle
-China Glaze - Wait n' Sea
-Konad - White
The bottom pattern on this look is Zebra and the top is studded floral (obviously). I really liked the color scheme with this; it wasn't traditional zebra or traditional floral and it sort of feels slightly nautical too, lol.
Be sure to check out what the other lovely ladies had in store today:

The Digit-al Dozen Does: Patterns on Patterns - Look 3
Since this week is Valentine's Day week, I decided to do a Valentine's themed look.
Polished Used:
-KBShimmer - Eyes White Open
-OPI - I Think in Pink
-Konad - Red
-Plate - Bundle Monster - BM-620
For this look, my bottom pattern was pink dots and the top was the red hearts. I thought that this was a sweet and adorable look, and felt super festive wearing it!
Let's see if any of the other ladies decided to rock a Valentine's themed Pattern on Pattern look:

The Digit-al Dozen Does: Patterns on Patterns - Look 1
February's theme for the Digit-al Dozen is Patterns on Patterns. I like the idea of this theme because there are so many different patterns out there to put together.
Here is my first look:
Polishes Used:
-Barielle - First Class Ticket
-Precision Lacquer - Blissful Abyss
-Morgan Taylor - Varsity Jacket Blues
-Konad - White
-Plate - Born Pretty Store QA83
The bottom pattern of this look is a blue dry brush pattern (although it's super hard to tell in the pictures - I should have taken a "before" picture); and the top floral pattern is the top one (obviously; lol) I really love how this one turned out and would wear it again.
Let's check out what the other ladies did below:

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents: Wallpaper - Look 4
I'm sneaking this one in at the last minute this month! I have been out of town on business and pretty busy with work so I feel like I haven't done any nail looks for a while!
I had seen THIS look on Pinterest while browsing wallpaper and knew I wanted to do something inspired by it :)
Products Used:
-OPI - My Vampire is Buff
-Konad - Black
-Cheeky Jumbo Plate 3
-Gold Glequins
In general I love the feel of black with gold as accents in the home (just not my home) but some swanky apartment or something Hollywood glam. This look turned out pretty much I was hoping, minus the streaking of the black when I added topcoat. Boo. (Do you have any good black stamping polishes that don't smudge with topcoat? What brands do you use?)

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents: Wallpaper - Look 2
Today I'm back with my second Nail Challenge Collaborative wallpaper look. For this look, I was inspired THIS wallpaper look.
Items Used:
-KB Shimmer - How You Dune?
-Barielle - Taupe Notch
-BM-606
I switched up the colors a bit from the inspiration photo because I was feeling this combo a little more. I have to say this is probably the most delicate stamping that I have ever done. I'm not sure if everyone's plate was imaged this lightly or if it was just mine, but either way, very delicate.
I liked how this turned out and wouldn't mind having a wallpaper like this for an accent wall in my home.
Let's see what everyone else did for their 2nd Wallpaper look :)

The Digit-al Dozen Does: Fairytales - Look 2
Happy Tuesday!
Today I have my second Digit-al Dozen Fairytales look to share with you.
Once again I went with some simple and adorable stamping. These little prince and princesses are just too cute if you ask me! The base is light pink and a medium pink sponged look but you can't really see it so well under the stamping, I think I picked shades that were too close together.
Let's take a look at the other ladies Fairytale manicures!

The Digit-al Dozen Does: Fairytales - Look 1
Well isn't this an exciting turn of events.... I was asked to join the super talented ladies of the Digit-al Dozen, and for my first theme in the group we are doing a Fairytale theme :)
I am not super hot with my freehand, but I don't have a ton of fairytale stamping images either so this week we will get to see a little bit of both.
For my first look, I decided to go with some adorable stamped dragons over a pastel base. This isn't based on a specific fairytale but more along the lines that there are dragons in some of them. I like how this look came out, really soft and whimsical.
Be sure to take a look at the other Fairytale inspired looks that the rest of the ladies came up with!

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents: Wallpaper - Look 1
Happy Monday! I am finally back today with some actual nail art, lol. The theme that we picked for January in the Nail Challenge Collaborative group is Wallpaper. I was happy with this choice as I have a ton of stamping images that fall into this category.
Items Used:
-China Glaze - Dune Our Thing
-OPI - Muir Muir On The Wall (this is what I used for the stamping, although since it is definitely not a stamping polish, it was a little patchy - but I still like the feel)
-Cheeky Jumbo Plate 8 - Princess Charming
This look has an ornate feel to it. Although this would be a fairly bold wallpaper pattern if created in these colors, using a different palette, I could see something like this in a Victorian mansion. If you did keep these colors and patterns, it could make a really fun accent wall wallpaper. I like the tone on tone feel of this and am wearing it at work today actually.
Be sure to check out the other ladies fun wallpaper looks as well!

What I Wore: Thanksgiving Edition
Remember when I used to do a What I Wore [on my nails] post? Yeah, it's been a while. Any way, I didn't show the nails that I wore on Thanksgiving yet, so I thought I would share those with you today. I woke up on Thanksgiving morning to see that it had snowed a bit so I felt like doing something along those lines.
Polishes Used:
-Rica - Whiteout
-Maybelline - Bold Gold
-China Glaze - I'd Melt for You
-Bundle Monster - BM-H02
This look did NOT want to be photographed at all; thank you white & metallic polishes, lol. But I did love this look, so much so that I kept it on for a couple days after Thanksgiving as well. I apologize for the "wet" fingers in these pictures, but the cold weather has been reeking havoc on my cuticles, so I am constantly lathering them up (with my KB Shimmer Cuticle Oil - in Peppermint Scent for the holidays -- PS I highly recommend this Cuticle Oil - it smells delish and moisturizes perfectly).
Who's excited to be getting into Winter themed manicures?
