Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer - Queen Lime Rose Zinnia

A while back I won a contest and the prize was a bottle of Queen Lime Rose Zinnia from Julie at Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer and today I have some pictures to share with you.

This polish is described as "a pastel lime green with pink to gold shifting shimmers".

Queen Lime Rose Zinnia is really a pretty green and the shimmer in real life is much more pronounced than what the photographs captured. This shade would be perfect for spring and summer wear.

If you like this shade, you can pick it up HERE; and be sure to check out Julie's shop HERE.

Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer Untrieds

Today I'm going to share with you two pretty shades from Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer that had been sitting in my untried box for too long; BEGLove & CtA3.3.

BEGLove

How gorgeous is this purple shade though!? I can't believe that I haven't worn this until now and I've probably had it close to a year already. The other lovely thing about this shade was that it was a one coater :)

CtA 3.3

This is a sheer silver holo polish. You could wear it alone (like I am, shown here is 3 coats) or to add a holo effect to any polish. I believe that this shade was a prototype color that I snagged in one of Julie's sales.

Both are lovely and I'm glad that I finally had a chance to wear them!

Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer - Carina

I recently was lucky enough to win an opportunity to create a custom polish with Julie of Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer. I was excited and slightly nervous about the opportunity. I am not super creative and usually stick to pretty standard color combinations, black and white, pink and green, etc. As you know I have been loving creams and shimmers lately so that's what I told Julie. I knew some things, like that I wanted something coral or pink and that it should include some shimmers, she gave me some ideas, listed my shimmer color options, and after a couple back and forths of shooting ideas around, we came up with Carina.

I am wearing two coats of Carina with topcoat in these pictures. This polish has such incredible shimmers in it and I was not able to do them justice. In the last picture I think you can see them the best. The pink base was just what I was looking for and the shimmers are purple and blue, they are so vibrant and pretty in the sun!

Are you wondering about the name Carina? Well, sticking to my non-creative juices I wasn't sure what I wanted the polish to be called, so Julie got me thinking, what are some things that I like outside of nail polish? Astronomy was one of the first things that came to mind, (any astronomy buffs see where I am going with this?) so, Carina is named after the Carina Nebula, which is sometimes described as the pink nebula as it radiates a pinkish glow.

So what do you think? Do you love Carina as much as I do? Make sure you check out Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer on Facebook, as Julie is always hosting giveaway's and maybe next time, you will be the winner of custom polish!

Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer - Monster's Tea at Tiffany's & Un Sueño Mágico

I recently won two pretty Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer polishes in @nailpolishtherapy's Instagram Giveaway. Clariza recently reached 1500 Instagram followers and decided to do something special to thank her followers. I was so excited to win because as soon as I saw the giveaway on Instagram, I knew I needed to add those shades to my collection, and I wasn't going to get the custom, Un Sueño Mágico, without winning!

This is what she had to say in her giveaway post: This giveaway is being sponsored by the lovely Julie of BEGL @blueeyedlawyer and author of Wishes of a Blue-Eyed Girl blog! She made my wish come true by creating the custom aptly named Un Sueño Mágico which is a beautiful glitter topper that will complement her core polish Monster's Tea at Tiffany's.  I threw my ideas her way and I was floored when she sent me swatches as she captured exactly what I wanted! I'm truly amazed and impressed by her talent and creativity and I'd love to share this set with one of you!

Now onto the polishes!!

Monster's Tea at Tiffany's: Tiffany blue polish with a green to pink/red shift.

Un Sueño Mágico: This is the custom topper that Clariza had Julie make for the giveaway! It contains blue, white and pink glitters in all shapes and sizes.

Aren't these polishes gorgeous!!!!?!??! I mean, look at that macro, and even the Tiffany's is amazing on it's own.

Which look to you prefer? Plain or with the glitter topper? Any other undies you want to Un Sueño Mágico over?

Snowfall at Dusk: A periwinkle based polish with various shades of blue hexes, squares, and dots, blue-green iridescent hexes, and large white snowflakes. Plum Tired of the Cold: A blackened plum shimmer base packed with gold micro hexes, red hexes, diamonds, and circle glitters, wine and burgundy hexes, and black hexes and holo dots.

Two Coats Shown

<3: <3 was the apology polish that Julie sent to all of the individuals who pre-ordered polishes from the Winter Collection and who had to wait for their orders to ship. It is a nude jelly with rainbow iridescent glitters and micro and small sizes.

Two Coats Shown

Overall, I really like the polishes that I swatched in this collection. They feel really unique and aren't just plain glitter toppers or mixes that I already have in my collection, which is a big plus for me; sometimes I feel like there are only so many combinations out there, but Julie has done a great job creating this collection with pretty and unique shades. The application of the polish was nice as well, as with all larger/shaped glitters, a little fishing was required for the big snowflakes, but it wasn't anything unusual. Finally, I think it was very sweet of Julie to create the <3 shade as an extra for those who pre-ordered and have been patiently waiting the arrival of the collection.
