AIS: Valentine's Day Nails

Today's theme in Adventures in Stamping is Valentine's Day Nails. I decided to do something simple for this look.

I actually haven't used this Valentine's kissing lips stamp before and had it laying out as one that I wanted to use this season, so perfect timing. I have a couple others sitting out as well so hopefully I will be able to get those in before Valentine's Day as well :)

Adventures in Stamping - Jelly Sandwich

Happy Sunday!! I have not participated in an AIS challenge for a while and I just happened to have time last night to get a mani together for this week! The theme is Jelly Sandwich; hmmm, so this required me to have a jelly polish and I don't have too many that don't have glitter in them, but I do have one so I used it for this look.

Polishes Used:
-Essie - Where's My Chauffeur
-Revlon - Sheer Seafoam
-Konad - White
-Cheeky - Jumbo Plate 8 - Princess Charming

Sheer Seafoam is soooooo sheer; like almost clear, so I needed to use the Essie base before I started. Once I had two coats of Where's My Chauffeur, I stamped with my Cheeky Plate, topped that with two coats of Sheer Seafoam and then stamped one more time. As you can see, there is barely a color difference in the stamping above and below the jelly, but that's ok, it s a nice subtle look.

I also, loved this color on me! I haven't been wearing many seafoam shades at the moment since it's winter but this is a really great shade and I should be wearing more of it.

Falling For Nail Art Challenge: Creepy Crawlers & AIS - Stamping over a Holographic Base

Happy Sunday! Today I am killing two birds with one stone and using one mani for both the Falling for Nail Art Challenge and Adventures in Stamping themes.

And here is the look that I came up with!

For the 'Creepy Crawlers' I decided to go with Spiders/webs. I don't really like spiders and we seem to have those house spiders all over now that the weather is cooler. I am not sure which I hate more, the thousand leggers or the spiders, lol. The spiders that I added to the webs are gross and creepy, we had grass spiders in our house one and it was terrible, these remind me of that type. (Gross, I know)

Breast Cancer Awareness Mani

As I am sure everyone is well aware, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I have not personally been effected by Breast Cancer in my immediate family but I do know a handful of people who have either been personally effected or had a family member battling breast cancer. I don't own the 2013 Breast Cancer duo from OPI but I do own last year's set, which I used on my middle, ring and pinky fingers. I absolutely love this look and I got a lot of compliments on it at work which was a great time to mention BCA; I wore this mani for a couple of days which is quite unusual for me, but I just didn't want to take it off.

Hopefully they find a cure for cancer soon!!!

AIS - Base and Stamping in the same color scheme

YAY; hope you don't mind all of the stamping this week! This week's theme in Adventures in Stamping is Base and Stamping in the same color scheme; hahaha so of course I picked pink!

I really love the pink on pink design and how the lighter color is the one I used to stamp :) I actually wore this look earlier in the week and couldn't stop staring at my nails all day at work haha! Today I will keep the post SUPER short and sweet but I hope you like this look and all the other pretty ones that I'm sure you will be seeing around the blog-o-sphere today :)

AIS - Over a Saran Wrap Base

Today is Sunday, but it's also my husband's 30th birthday; Happy Birthday Rob!

Anyway, this week's theme in Adventures in Stamping is "Stamping over a Saran Wrap Method Base". I liked this challenge because the Saran Wrap Method always gives fun unique looks.

I chose to use two purples in this, one as the base and one as the stamp and I think that it flows really well together. This is the first time that I have used AA and it is a lot more metallic than I thought, and it's fun!

AIS - Favorite Color Combo

Happy Sunday Loves! I hope you are all having a great weekend. Unfortunately my husband has been sick and throwing up the entire weekend so our house and plans aren't exactly as happy as they could have been. Anyway, this week's theme in Adventures in Stamping is "Favorite Color Combo". I knew that I wanted to use white to stamp with and I ended up with my go to shade, that was my favorite for as long as I could remember, pink. LOL.

Since this these was favorite color combo I decided to try out one of my new BM Holiday plate stamps in this lovely heart pattern; get it? favorite? heart? lol. Anyway, hearts go great with pink and white so i thought this mani was just perfect. The stamp was really nice too (don't mind my wonky ring finger stamping, it was user error not a bad plate lol)

I can't wait to check out all the other favorite color combos out there!

AIS - Shadow/Double Stamping

Oh my goodness, I just went through my history and haven't participated in Adventures in Stamping since April!!! Bad Blogger!!! So anyway, I am trying REALLY hard to participate in all my challenges in July now that I have a little more free-time. Anyway, this week's AIS theme is Shadow or Double Stamping.

For this mani I started with a base of Mrs. O'Leary's BBQ; one of my favorite OPI colors, then topped it with Konad White and Pink stamped with this image off of Pueen05. On my pinky and index finger I put the white down first and the middle and ring got the pink first. What is odd about this is that I am usually HORRIBLE at lining up my stamps, they are always sort of wonky. So my plan was to have a bunch of random lines here, like my pointer finger, then low and behold my ring finger comes along and decides to be all fancy and lined up out of nowhere. LOL.

Anyway, this is a fun mani and I am glad that I am participating in Adventures in Stamping again. Make sure to keep an eye out for the other Shadow/Double stamping mani's around the nail world today :)

AIS - Spring Colors

This week's theme for Adventures in Stamping is "Spring Colors". I have been doing a lot of pastels for spring but I also think that bright colors are springy as well. So, I went with a pastel base and a bit of a brighter color combination to stamp with.

This design sort of reminded me of some crazy Dr. Suess style flowers and the colors were bright and springy in my opinion. The weather this weekend was a lot cooler than it had be this weekend and it had me a little down or else this may have been even brighter and crazier!

AIS - Stamping Over An Orange Base

Happy Sunday!

The weather is finally starting to get a little warmer and I am very excited about it. So today's theme in AIS is Stamping Over An Orange Base.

Polishes Used:

-Essie - Braziliant

-Konad - Pink

-Pueen12

When I thought about doing a color to compliment the orange, I knew I wanted to use pink. I often feel like orange is very Halloween-ish and pink made this a little more fun instead of getting festive. 

I had to file my nails down to shorties so for a while you will be seeing shortie nails while they grow back. 

Short and sweet today.
