The Digit-al Dozen Does: Geometric - Look 5

Happy Saturday! Today I am back with my final Digit-al Dozen Geometric look; unfortunately a day late. Whomp Whomp.

Anyway, I am finishing up with a stamped textured design.

Polishes Used:
-NOPI - On What Grounds
-Konad Blue Stamping Polish
-Konad Green Stamping Polish

I used both the blue and green stamping polish here to get a ton on ton look for the teal base. I love how stamping over a textured base gives things a whole different look.

The Digit-al Dozen Does: Geometric - Look 4

For my fourth look this month I decided to go back to stamping! Stamping is always my go-to for fun nail art and there are so many great geometric stamps out there, how could I not?

Polishes Used:
-Rica - Whiteout
-Sharpies!
-Konad - Black

For the base of this look I tried the sharpie / alcohol method but I think I used colors that were WAY too light and the stamping sort of covered it up! I think I'll try this technique again with other colors. I really like this stamp too, lines and triangles, very geometric ;-)

Happy Wednesday! I am really liking the look that I created for today! I decided to do some color blocking for this one; let's see!

Polishes Used:

-China Glaze -Wait 'n Sea

-KBShimmer - How You Dune?

-KBShimmer - Low and Be Bold

I am loving the look! I specifically choose a blue that was somewhat jelly so that I could layer over the gray and create a "fourth" color. I love color blocking and simple tape manicures so this one was right up my ally and the blues really pop!

For my second geometric look I decided to go with something more abstract / angular using nail vinyls. Check it out:

-KBShimmer - Radient Orchid
-Pahlish - Typewriter Keys
-LA Colors - Gold Glitter

To be honest the colors in this look were/are super random to me and nothing that I would ever put together, but I was really just sort of trying something different and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised that they sort of worked nicely together; an unexpected combination so to say.

This week we are back with another Digit-al Dozen theme, Geometric nails! I like this one because geometric can be so broad; I really think of it as any lines, angles, shapes, etc.

For my first look I went with some simple black and white stamping!

-Konad - White

This was a really simple look but has a sort of retro feel to me, 60's wallpaper maybe?

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Geometric - Look 4

Today I have my fourth and final September Nail Challenge Collaborative look I was inspired by this look that I saw on Concrete and Nail Polish, although I did my middle stripes just slightly shorter.

Polishes Used:
-OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls
-Sally Hansen - Pacific Blue
-Kiss - Soft Blue

I just freehanded everything, I probably would've had crisper lines if I used tape, but I sorta like this look. And I love the colors. Simple geometric color blocking.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Geometric - Look 1

Well the ladies of the Nail Challenge Collaborative may not have been the biggest Tea Party fans because this month, we voted in something fairly opposite, Geometric Nails, as our theme! I am really looking forward to this theme because there are just so many different looks that can be created.

Polishes Used:
-Essie - Bobbing for Baubles
-Konad - White
-Cheeky Jumbo Plate 8 - Princess Charming

I wanted to do some contrasting colors for this look to make the geometric pattern pop but didn't want to use black so I went for the deep navy of Bobbing for Baubles. I really like how this look came out and it was nice to use a stamping image that I hadn't tried before.
