Hit Polish - Party Shardy

Last week I got together with my friend Brigitte from Color Me So Crazy. She recently started her blog so make sure to check it out. Anyway, we live in the same neighborhood and we get together for dinner on a regular basis. 

She owns a ton of polishes from Hit Polish, and I don't own any, so she let me try them out! It was hard to pick from but I decided on Party Shardy :)

Polishes Used:

-Finger Paints - Blue Raspberry Taffy

-Hit Polish - Party Shardy

-NYC - Matte Me Crazy

Isn't this lovely?! It looks so yummy, with the name of the Finger Paints and the sprinkle look of the Hit it reminds me of a Laffy Taffy. Party Shardy is described in this listing as: A clear base with small matte plum purple hexes, small hot orange (this is a tomato red orange color) and neon blue small hex glitters then I added neon blue shards as well as small hot orange bars. Love this!

Although I didn't purchase this polish, just borrowed it from Brigitte, you can purchase Hit Polish on their Etsy store here. 

Maybelline - Color Show - Boho Gold

I recently picked up Maybelline Boho Gold, one of their limited edition Color Show colors. In the bottle this appears to be a super lovely gold, green, blue durochrome, however, it didn't exactly translate how I was hoping on my nails.

-Maybelline - Boho Gold

Although it wasn't exactly what I was expecting, I do think that it's a pretty color. It is somewhat sheer, so I think that next time I will try it over a dark green to see what sorts of other colors/shimmers I can bring out in this polish. 

What do you think? Were you disappointed in this collection too, or is Chanel Peridot spoiling everyone into thinking all durochromes would like that? lol.

Rainbow Polish - Trooper

Sadly, today is the last day of reviewing the polishes that I got from Katee. It was an awesome prize, much more than I ever expected, and I am so grateful I won. Once again, if you're not yet following her blog, A Girl and Her Polish, you can check it out here!

The final prize was a polish of my choice from Rainbow Polish. I was having trouble deciding on which polish I wanted because she has so many awesome choices, so I narrowed it down to two, and let my hubby choose. He picked Trooper, and what a good choice :)

I wanted to showcase this over a fun color, so I chose Sinful Colors Savage, which is a nice matte teal, so I decided to keep this mani matte when it was done. 

 

Trooper is a fun glitter polish which has multisized and multishaped white glitters, along with black hex's and micro flakies! So gorgeous. This is another one of my favorites from Katee!

Once Upon a Polish - Whosits & Whatsits Galore!

Hello Lovelies!!!

Today I am showing you one of the final polishes that I won from Katee. Today it is Once Upon a Polish - Whosits & Whatsits Galore! It is a mixture of matte coral, green, red, white, and black micro glitters; looks like it may even contain some pinks too!

I wanted to wear this overtop of something and Katee has shown it over grey before on her blog so I decided to follow in her footsteps and do the same. I started with a base of Sinful Colors - Slate.

Isn't Slate a lovely color?! I had to take some pictures of it by itself since it has such a nice shine to it. But wait til you see how amazing it becomes with Whosits & Whatsits Galore!

I REALLY love this polish! The micro matte glitters are so pretty - wonderful color choice and this will be great going into Fall/Winter season. I have to say, I am pretty sure that this is my favorite polish out of all the glitters that Katee sent me! 

Tomorrow I will be showing you the polish that she let me choose (and I let my husband choose) from Rainbow Polish.
