China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze Collection Swatches

Today I am lucky enough to be sharing with you 6 polishes from the China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze Collection!

Elfin’ Around: Red rust with an aluminum-like mirror finish

Santa Red My List: Pink/red with an aluminum-like mirror finish

There’s Snow One Like You: Limited edition white Texture with matte glitter

Be Merry, Be Bright: Multi-magenta purple glitter

Layered over China Glaze Purr-fect Plum

Your Present Required: Multi-sized and multi-colored glitter

Layered over China Glaze Gothic Lolita

All Wrapped Up: Midnight purple and blue glitter

Overall, I really liked *most* of the polishes that I received from this collection. They all had nice application and will be making second appearances on the blog here and there I am sure.

Unfortunately, I did not like There's Snow One Like You. The matte glitters that were added to the texture created a big problem for me with application, I had to dab on the second coat and I don't really like the look of it on my nails. I would not wear this polish alone but one of my friends suggested that I could use it in some nail art, for snow or a snowman, which is true, I was just disappointed since I have been loving the textured trend.

On another positive note though, Elfin' Around and Santa Red My List were both completely opaque in one coat and I can tell they will be great for stamping!! Score! Also, I really loved all the glitter and dimension in All Wrapped Up.

Which of these shades is your favorite? Will you be picking any up yourself?

Nail Art for Nubs Link-Up

Happy Monday!!!

Today I'm back with my second installment in the Nail Art for Nubs link-up. Today I went with one of my favorite looks. This one is super simple, and would look good on both nubs and long nails too!

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-Maybelline - Amethyst Ablaze
-Out The Door
-Rhinestones
-Gelous

I did a similar look here for the NCC Halloween Challenge and decided to do another mani, this time monotone with purple shades! I have used Amethyst Ablaze for stamping in the past but never as a base polish and I really like it. So for this look, I simply put the base color down, topped with Gelous and while the Gelous was still wet I added the rhinestones. Once they were secure I topped with a layer of out the door and there you have it :)

Have you tried this look before? I think you could add more or less rhinestones based on how long your nails are, don't you?

Ethereal Lacquer - Transcend

Happy Sunday!

Today I have a lovely shade to share with you, Transcend from Ethereal Lacquer. This is my first Ethereal Lacquer polish and I love it!

Polishes Used:
-OPI - Nail Envy
-Ethereal Lacquer - Transcend
-Out The Door

This is a lovely shimmery dusty lavender shade. I am wearing two coats and it applied perfectly, even application and completely opaque in the 2 coats. I will definitely be bringing this into my "for work" rotation.

Do you own any Ethereal Lacquers? You can purchase them here and make sure to follow her Facebook to stay up to date with re-stock information.

Also, you may have noticed that A Little Polish has a new look; I went ahead and got an updated blog design and I really like it - its super simple and classic. I hope you like it too!

OPI - Magazine Cover Mouse

I recently purchased the OPI Couture de Minnie Runway Minnies. (What a name!) I have been loving the textured polish trend so I immediately knew I had to try the Magazine Cover Mouse shade!

I'm wearing two coats of Magazine Cover Mouse over OPI Nail Envy. It's pretty much just a gorgeous red texture with hints of pink and gold. I am sure this would also look lovely with a topcoat.

Short and sweet post, hope you all had a great Friday!

P.S. I can't believe that it is already November!
