The Digit-al Dozen Does: Childhood - Look 4
My forth Digit-al Dozen Childhood look is based on one of my favorite memories from growing up; polishing my nails with my mom. I remember us sitting at our kitchen table and her painting my nails with some old Avon polishes. My mom's mom was an Avon Lady and we always had those polishes around our house. These were the old ones, from like the 80s, they had a very distinctive smell that older polishes had. (do you know what I mean?) Every time that I smell polishes like that now, I still think of those times that I had with my mom growing up.
Even now when I go to visit my parents, sometimes my mom asks me to paint her nails or toes :)
Polishes Used:
-OPI - I Knead Sourdough
-OPI - Casino Royale
For the base of this look I used a couple colors that reminded me of the older Avon shades that we had growing up and bended them with a saran wrap technique. Next, I stamped with my Bundle Monster plate nail polish bottles and "Keep Calm and Polish On"; although you can see how awesome (or not) my lining up of stamping images is with that accent nail... we will just call that one artistic :-P
Was painting your nails as a child of one your childhood memories, or did you guys get into nails later on in life?
