"Sally Hansen Introduces a New Special Effect: Create a Radient, Iridescent Look with Pearl Crush"
There are eight shades in the Pearl Crush Collection and today I will be sharing four with you; so let's get started.
Oy-ster It Up!: "Aw, shucks - this true white with faceted glitter catches the light beautifully."
Rainbow Fish: "Casting off icy tones, this iridescent blue is quite the catch."
Lady Crab: "No need to pinch yourself - this dreamy hot pink really is as steamy as it gets!"
Silver Scallop: "Reflect on this modern take on metallics - a shape shifting silver that appears constantly in motion."
These swatches are shown with two coats of color and no topcoat.
There are four other colors in the collection that I don't have swatches of; you can find those descriptions below.
- She Sells: Whether on the seashore or the city streets, this pale blush hue is pretty, pink perfection.
- Shell & Tell: The secret is out: A lovely lilac like this doesn't come around every day.
- Mer-Mint: This splashy, soothing seafood green is loaded with sea-inspired shimmer.
- Clam Digger: This lava-rock black stands out with flecks of phosphorescent-green glitter.
When I received the press release for these shades, I was really interested to see how they would look in person. It's an interesting concept, I just don't really like how it translated into the polish. I wish the glitters were smaller and more "crushed" to create more of a textured polish pearl effect. Also, I wore these without any base color and since they are more iridescent than pigmented, the color differences were very subtle. I think they would probably look cool over base colors to bring out the iridescent shimmers of the polishes.
Price & Availability: This limited-edition Pearl Crush collection, SRP $5.99, is available beginning in June 2015 at chain drugstores and mass retailers nationwide.
