Jindie Nails - Swatches!

I recently showed you some of my new Jindie Nails polishes (here) and today I have a couple other polishes to share with you that Jen provided for my review.

First Up, Hex on the Beach:

Jen describes this shade as "Hex on the Beach is available in full and medium size.  This is one of five shades in the Summer Chic Collection.  This polish has a white crelly base with matte, opaque baby pink, peach, red, orange, pastel yellow and canary yellow dots, diamonds & hex.  This also has metallic copper & light pink dots & hex throughout plus a gorgeous peach shimmer.  Opaque in 2-3 coats." This shade is seriously gorgeous. The more I look at my pictures, the more I just want to wear it all the time, and I am pretty sure that you know how I feel about white crelly bases! GAH! I am wearing two coats of Hex on the Beach with a topcoat of HK Girl. 

Next up, She Blinded me with Science:

Jen describes this polish as, "She Blinded me with Science LE (limited edition) nail polish will be available for a limited time in full and medium size.  It has a pale pink crelly base with multiple sizes of neon, holographic and metallic dots, squares, diamonds, rectangles and hex glitters.  This polish features small, medium and large silver holographic dots, small & medium & extra large matte black dots, large metallic turquoise dots plus lime green large metallic dots, matte pale purple dots, white dots and moons plus matte gray moons. 3-free, cruelty free." I love this shade as well! I am wearing two coats of She Blinded me with Science topped with HK Girl. This has such a neat mix of colored glitters in it!

Finally, we have That Purple Ish:

Jen describes this as, "That Purple Ish nail polish is available in full and medium size.  This shade is one of 5 in the Summer Chic Collection.  It has a periwinkle purple crelly base loaded with silver shimmer and an assortment of wine, purple, lilac, lavender, hot pink, navy and magenta dots, squares and hex.  The base is a crelly base that is opaque in about 2-3 coats.  Looks great on its own with no base coats.  3-free." I am wearing two coats of this shade and topped it with HK Girl. It's such a pretty purple shade it will definitely be making a permanent spot in the "go-to" purple indie rotation.

Which of these shades is your favorite? I am not sure I could decide if I had to!

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Around The World - Week 1

TGIF!!!!

I am so glad it's Friday. My husband is feeling better after his Vertigo affliction and so we will finally be able to actually do things this weekend!

The August theme in the Nail Challenge Collaborative is Around The World. I voted for this theme but honestly don't think I am creative enough to think up four Around The World inspired mani's. LOL. Anyway, this one is sort of lame but it is also one of my go to looks; the FRENCH mani (get it? France? lol)

-HK Girl Topcoat

So, I just now noticed as I was typing out my polishes used the the shimmery topcoat contains "FRENCH" too so there you go! I know I know, sort of lame, BUT, I really love wearing simple mani's like this to work and my co-workers always ask me if I got acrylics back on. haha.

I am sure the other ladies were much more creative, and I do have an idea brewing for next week's mani. In the meantime, check out what all the other participants did!

Precision Nail Lacquer - Dreamy Collection

Today I have a new to me polish brand and collection to share with you, the Dreamy Collection by Precision Nail Lacquer (Lamoon Beauty Inc.)

Here is a little bit of information about Lamoon Beauty Inc. from their website:

Let's move on to the Dreamy Collection. This collection contains 6 gorgeous shades, On Cloud 9, Walking on Air, Enlightenment, McDreamy, Grape Devine, Blissful Abyss.

On Cloud 9:

This is a lovely baby blue cream polish. I am wearing 3 coats of color to obtain full opacity but other than that, the application was flawless.

Walking on Air:

Walking on Air is the purple companion to Cloud 9. It also had nice application and is a three coater.

Enlightenment:

You know I love yellow polishes for all my Pittsburgh themed mani's so this shade is a nice addition to my collection. It was also a 3 coater but evened out nicely.

McDreamy:

McDreamy is a gorgeous green cream. I am wearing 2 coats of polish as it was a little less sheer than the others I have shown you. I have a skirt in exactly this color and I love what a unique shade of green it is, I don't have anything like it.

Grape Devine:

This is a super fun pink leaning purple shade. It is also more opaque than some of the other colors so I only needed 2 coats to achieve the desired opacity. Application was smooth without steaks.

Blissful Abyss:

And since no collection is complete without a blue, we have Blissful Abyss. This a gorgeous two coater in a really unique blue. I have TONS of friends that will needing to be add this blue to their collection.

OVERALL: The entire collection had great application. None of the polishes were streaky, and although some were sheer, they all achieved a nice level of opacity with two to three coats. The polishes can be purchased through their website or in certain salons and supply houses (their website has a nice locator feature). The polishes retail for $5.95. I think I will probably be adding more to my collection soon!
